NLC recently proposed varying minimum wages across the 6 geo-political zones which falls at an average of N500,000 monthly.

My concern on the one part is that prices of goods and services will suffer unexplained inflation due to so much money in circulation.

On the other part, there's no assurance that the private sector will comply with the proposed minimum wages.

The implication is that the purchasing power of the underpaid masses in the private sector will be further diminished.

Not sure if the new minimum wage will be more than 100k. Is it government that is owing workers with N30k minimum wage will pay more than N100k? Not. Possible.

But if there's a way to enforce the new minimum wage in the private sector, it will be good news

You see the reason crime is increasing, Nigeria government don't consider non civil servant and people above 35 years, last month FG paid 3 months N35, 000 areas to civil servant and I asked what happened to non civil servant, very soon government would roll out program for people between 18-35 years , what happened to people who graduated 10 years ago at 26 but now 36yrs, that is why prison is full with vibrate youth today ..God help our country.

TO SOLVE THE QUAGMIRE THAT WE ARE IN PRESENTLY, TINUBU AND NOT ANYONE ELSE, SHOULD TAG THE NAIRA AT N500:$1, FIX PETROL AT N500 per liter AND KEROSENE AT N500 per gallon. HE MIGHT FIX MINIMUM WAGE AND PENSION AT N50'000 PER MONTH.

Anything above 50k would be a serious catastrophe to the economy. Where on earth do government expect private sectors that are struggling to stay afloat sees money to pay. What about millions of youths who are not salary earners.

African government are just too stupid and daft, it is not everything foreign you irrationally copied into your system. Minimum wage/salary system can only function in a well organised society with robust economy.

You don't have accurate unemployed working population data, you don't have mechanism to follow full implementation at all level, you don't have functioning price control agency, yet you want to increase minimum wage by more than 100%.

You remove backbone of economy ( fuel subsidy), but want to increase salary of tiny population of work force to finally send others to hell. Honestky, Africans are not suppose to rule themselves.
