The harassment of Chioma Egodi shows that, despite the authorities paying lip-service to police reforms, impunity for unlawful arrests remains rampant:

The sections of the Cyber Crimes Act which the police have been using to harass Chioma Egodi were used — in the past — as tools to gag freedom of expression in Nigeria.

But sincerely speaking what Chioma Egodi did in her video was product assassination and not product review, I have watched and rewatched that video, calling it product review is just for the Internet soldiers to get her soft landing.

If she had said to her fans in her video that she went to the market and saw this product for the first time and decided to try it out, but was a bit disappointed with the color and that it was a bit too salty, and call on the makers to look into it, afterwards ask her fans to drop their comments if they had tried the product and what they think of it.

Believe me the makers of Gicko and Ric-ko might see it and tag her, appreciating her kind review of their product while giving her reasons for having salt in the product or assuring her that her complaints would be looked into.

When I was younger, one of the items my mum used in preserving tomato paste was salt and vegetable oil, after parboiling and squeezing out water from the tomato paste, she would pour it into a container that has cover, then sprinkle salt on it and pour vegetable oil then cover air tight. Believe me light or no light it stays for months without getting spoilt.

I kindly join in calling Chief Eric Umeofia to please have mercy and forgive if she genuinely apologize to you.

Useless country with useless institutions.

God will punish anybody who knowingly purchases any Erisco Product. The company has to fold up. Let its unfortunate employees look for other jobs.

If this woman hasn't been tried and found guilty, then the officers involved in her unlawful detention/abduction must be brought to book.

Typical Nigerian who doesn't know their left from their right.

What she did is what they call a customer review.

The government has messed things up so badly that some of you reason upside down!
