I am saddened by the news of the demise of our father, elder statesman and leader, Architect Gabriel Aduku. As it was designed by God almighty, death is the inevitable end of all mankind and a price every man living must pay. Our leader has paid that price.

The late Elder statesman is an icon of the Igala race, an astute kogite and a patriotic Nigerian who served our country selflessly and who contributed immensely to the success of the Igala kingdom and our dear state. Our kingdom is thrown into mourning because we have lost one of the finest ambassadors of the Igala kingdom.

I share in the grief of his immediate family, friends, the Igala kingdom, Kogi state and Nigeria at Large over this irreplaceable loss. It is my prayers that his soul will rest in peace and the family will have the strength to pull through this sad moment.
