Meanwhile ₦20million today cant start you an average business with a good capital base.

Nb
In response to the kid who quoted me that
if i cannot use 20million for business i cannot manage ₦1billion

I dont sell cars but let me use car sales for example.
A direct tokumbo venza cost between 14 to 16 milion naira ,now tell me how many cars you can have in an average outlet with 20million naira?
20m is 10 pounds, not alot of money in thr Nigerian context.
20m early past year was over 20k pounds.
Just be for APC and Buhari entered, 20m was 80k pounds!
From 80k pounds to 10k pounds in 9 years. NO BE JUJU BE DAT?

what that 20m naira will do in 1990, 5 billon naira won't do it now..

Likewise what that $5m will do in 1990 in the USA, $11m won't do it today

He use $5m to start zenith bank in 1990, $5m of 1990 is equivalent to $12,162,807.30 = 19,460,491,680 naira using black market rate of 1,600 to a dollar....

The capital requirements too open a national bank now in Nigeria is 25billon naira... so an investor with equivalent of Jim Ovia $5m of 1990.. $12,162,807.30 won't be enough to open a bank with that amount presently in Nigeria...

Those Jim Ovia generation are the root caused of the problems we are facing in Nigeria, they find it easy to excel during their time and are all making life hell for the youth coming up now

In 1990 you can’t keep 20k in your house because 20k was like 5 million naira. I remember my father bought plots of lands between 3500 and 5000

Otondo ..look at yourself...Nnamdi Azikwe isn't Igbo? He was the 3rd Governor General of Nigeria before he became the President, their government was overpowered by the Kaduna Nzeogwu Led coup in 1966 which Agui Ironsi Later overthrown and formed a government where he became the first military head of state of Nigeria...is Nzeogwu not Igbo or Ironsi not Igbo? Stop arguing blindly

You're just arguing blindly, how can you compare ijaws with Yorubas...what's their population and how many states do they boast of ? You can use Google to refresh your memory...theres no harm in learning
Beverlyjean:

Shows u know nothing about history and how the parliamentary system worked ...

1. Tafewa Balewa was the prime minister and the president position was just ceremonial ...the decisions were made by the PM and not president...president was like VP now ...

2. The coup was by the South in its entirety... ijaw man , Igbo man , calabar man and yoruba man were all involved , so stop acting foolish...

3. Then if the Igbos will never rule, then we must leave this useless country...but be rest assured that the drug lord in aso rock will be the last time a yoruba man will ever rule and then u guys will return to minority ,just like u were b4...the Ijaw people will replace u people as number 3

All na same same! What $5m gets u now is the same as what N20m can get u in 1990. Those big moneylords in the 90s some of them never worth more than 5-10m Naira!

Buhari met $ @ 200 and claimed that Jonathan was bad. He did not correct the mistakes of Jonathan rather he took $ to 760.
Tinubu has come his own and within 9months he moved $ to 1,900.
That is nonsense. The problem is that there are many Nigerians who are still supporting Tinubu.
If they like let it be #5,000 per dollar.
