Do You Need To Tell Your Wife That You’re Traveling Out? by Localboy48: 5:26am On Mar 13
Nigerian men have been victims for a long time. Most send their wives to school, get them jobs, provide and live solely for their wife alone in Nigeria, and then after relocating to the western world; their wife - who supposedly believe that Nigeria patriarchy system has kept her in check for long and didn’t allow her to succeed more than her husband - can’t just wait to show these men shege banza. Some of these men use their own money to relocate their own wife abroad to meet another man who she loves and who has been waiting for her. These women do not love their husband, but poverty can’t allow them to leave these men in Nigeria. Now in abroad, they work and have money and can’t wait to leave.

Now, the question is, is it necessary to tell ur wife when you’re about to leave the country? Knowing fully well that you don’t want to take her to the abroad: either she remains in Nigeria or she find her way abroad too.

Someone asked this question and I want to bring it here

All I can say is,

"You are a very foolish husband who has never loved his wife." grin

Your ego is eating you and you feel that you won't be seen as the breadwinner of the family or someone to be looked upto.

This nonsense patriarch notion you feel you have over your wife. Somebody will one day find that your wife and rescue her from this bondage you intend putting her.

Nonsense inferiority complex

Patriarchy?? EGO? U just like to throw grammar grin grin
It's like u don't know traveling is business...
There is no love in business........only risk, leverage, and ROI.... And if u know ur husband or wife can put u in a more risky position or impair ur leverage ...u better re-strategize....

Fallacy!!!It can happen to anybody....

people change, feelings change, priorities/goals change, and environment influence pple alot....

we just like to pretend that only men behave badly in marriage...and women only behave badly when they are retaliating..

if you guys are married then wherever YOU go then your wife should go there too (and vice versa)... if you cant take your spouse with you, then you shouldnt leave and should instead stay in Nigeria with your spouse (until you are ready for both of you to go together).

why would any sane couple make such a negative (for the family) move?
