Military Retaliation In The South Has Colors Of Religious and ethnic Conquest by FreedomArmy: 5:06pm On Mar 17 |
This is my honest observation. Northern Muslims soldiers in collaboration with their counterparts from the west takes every opportunity to deal with Christian villages in the south whenever criminals kill a soldier. The defense headquaters made a tweet " The audacity" and quickly deleted it but we have had NDA invaded and a major general was killed and no one in the defense headquarters tweeted "the audacity" because to them a Muslim terrorist is not as bad as a criminal in the south cos they share the same faith. Countless military personnel have been killed in the north yet villages are not invaded and house burnt. Fulani herdsmen has caused food crisis in Nigeria yet no Fulani settlement has been invaded. All these point to the fact that in treating southerners there is always religious and ethnic sentiments attached to it. 15 Likes 2 Shares |

Nonsense post. Why are some communities in the south so quick in killing soldiers and policemen and then turn around to blackmail the Army! This is wrong on so many levels, who said some of the soldiers are not from the communities where they were killed? We regularly see stories of policemen being roasted and eaten in some places, where is the outrage for God's sake? 2 Likes |

Northern Muslims soldiers in collaboration with their counterparts from the west How did you know the soldiers are Northerners and Westerners? What makes you think most of them aren't Igbos soldiers? Shinedu, your attempt to cause ethnic division is dead on arrival as always. 3 Likes 1 Share |

I don't think it is a matter of ethnic or religious sentiments. It is simply a matter of cowardice. You know how a cowardly bully with low self esteem is always quick to 'show power' when dealing with a seemingly 'weaker' target, but cowers and hides when confronted with a strong target. That is exactly what it is. The strongest people in Nigeria today are the northerners, simply because they don't fear death and are implacably bold. The Creek boys of the South South, particularly Ijaw Delta and Ikwerre Rivers are also formidable. Their oil bunkering and the few years Jonathan was in power afforded them the opportunity to amass choice weapons and they also have the advantage of a difficult to navigate terrain that is hostile and perilous to outsiders. Otherwise, much of the South is too complaint and conciliatory, thus signalling weakness which is what cowardly bullies like the Nigerian Army likes. That is why you see them always eager to apply maximum force to oppress soft targets like unarmed civilians or even Ipob. In fact, the Army's favorite posting is to the East to 'deal with' anything they imagine to be Ipob. Post them to the treacherous plains of Zamfara to fight bandits or deeper Borno to fight insurgents and rhey will start peeing in their pants and telling you stories of how 'saboteurs', corrupt politicians, and their corrupt generals are sabotaging their efforts. 2 Likes |

Our Nigerian Army is dominated by Hausa/FULANI and they look on Southern Nigerians as Infidels or Second class citizens. When Sanwo-Olu called that Soldier USELESS, many of them were so Pained.😏 But if it was Zulum, Uba Sani or Abba Yusuf of Kano made that same statement, They would not find it offensive at all.😕 They see Southerners/Christians as form of Weaklings or White Collar Softies! 😒 That's Why in Southern Nigeria, They fear Ijaws and mostly IGBOS! Many of Them Read about how in the Civil war, Biafran Soldiers made Local Guns and built a Machine Guns in Aba! |

Tjra:From the comments here on nairaland, Facebook and Twitter we can tell what Yoruba Muslim soldiers and Northerners will do there. We saw how Yorubas were calling for soldiers to level the whole communities, and how Igbos are saying don't attack innocent people,go for the criminals alone. The Yoruba man that said the communities should leveled, just imagine if he's one of the soldiers. 1 Like |
