This is the suffering encounter that all belivers will pass through in their daily Christian walk as they lived a Godly life of Christ that will establish them in continual victory and prepare them for the glory to come. The Christian life is not a bed of roses. Not a GOODY GOODY life but it is a victorious life. As we know that it is not possible to appear victorious without fighting a battle. There are encounters of life to pass through that will eventually proclaim our victory. Scriptures does not leave us in any doubt of this and Jesus emphatically taught this much but the last days deceivers have taken attention of people to this reality and sweet tongue them that there is no cause to face those unavoidable challenges. 2 Timothy 3:12 "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution".
Lets consider more undiluted scriptures that focused our attention on this challenge. :-
Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
2 Cor 1:5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
2 Cor 1:6-7 And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. And our hope of you is stedfast, knowing, that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so shall ye be also of the consolation.
Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Colosians 1:24 Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for his body's sake, which is the church:
Hebrews 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
1 Peter 1:11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
1 Peter 4:13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
1 Peter 5:1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed:
All the above scriptures have not left us in any doubt and neither do they need any private interpretation for easy understanding.A thorough study of them made us realise that those before us partook of this sufferings and it is therefore a must for us too. However this is not a suffering that we purposely inflict upon ourselves but such as we encounter as we navigate the storms of this life. John 17:14 "I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth".
Jesus gave his personal experience."I have a baptism to be baptized with: and how am I straitened till it be accomplished". (Luke 12:50)
Isaiah 26:17 “When a woman is about to give birth, she is sad because her hour of suffering has come; but when the baby is born, she forgets her suffering, because she is happy that a baby has been born into the world.” I have a baptism [of great suffering] with which to be baptized, and how greatly I am distressed until it is accomplished!

Yet your many religious leaders — your gods— bask in wealth and live lavish lives from the offerings and tithes they collect from you all. When they are sick, they fly out or make sure they get nothing but the best care possible for themselves, all while you, their gullible followers continue to believe in this idea of baptism of suffering being unique to them as a result of their faith. Is this not intention blindness? undecided

So much for your "knowledge". How does suffering translate to poverty alone? You need help! And if your Christianity is based on what others do or don't do. Don't you think you have already missed your way. Christianity is personal as much as salvation is personal.

You mean you were instead referring to the suffering of the rich, like Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon, and the lot? shocked shocked shocked shocked

Is this all you know about life? The rich and the poor? Is life not more than mere money that is an added advantage of pursuing righteousness according to Mathew 6:33. Salvation is personal, Christian journey is personal. What is your business with how people abuse other Christians and took advantage of them. Will God use them to judge you. For we shall all stand before the judgment throne of Christ individually, whether good or evil.

This isn't about what I know but about what your gods of men teach; their primary focus is on the difference between the rich and the poor. It all boils down to just that at the end of the day. undecided

2. Pursuing righteousness according to whose specification? God's or men? Because, again, your gods of men primarily focus on ideas that are of the world and minds of men and nothing of righteousness as decreed by God. If I asked you what God said of the works that are to be done by the righteous, I am almost certain you would not know of them. undecided'

3. Matthew 6 vs 33 speaks rather of obedience to God's Law - the overarching mandate for all who claim to believe in Jesus Christ; and I can also bet that you don't even know of at least 10 out of the almost 100 teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ. Righteousness only comes up after one has attained holiness, not before. lipsrsealed

You need to be honest with yourself and admit that what you know of God differs a great deal from that which Jesus Christ taught and urged His disciples to do, all thanks to you lot raising the opinions of your gods of men above that made clear by Jesus Christ. undecided
