Anytime I see people make false comments about Nissan products or the Murano especially,I just laugh.i am presently on my 5th Nissan product,a 2007 Infiniti QX56 after I sold my 2005 Nissan Pathfinder,my profile would lend credence to that.anyrhing made by man must have its flaws,no man is perfect. Not everyone would be interested in Toyota and Honda.valarinz deals with Volvo, same Volvo some people avoid like plague.i have a colleague cruising his Infiniti FX35,it's more than 2 years and no irregular issues other than regular servicing and the normal wear and tear.just as I always say,u can't come to my house and not find a Nissan SUV,there would always be one.i am convinced that majority who give negative reviews about Nissan products maybe bought the wrong nissan, never actually owned one or are sharing what they heard from some of their friends, colleagues or engineers that find a Murano too complex for their expertise.always aim to buy a car in the best condition and u wld have no regrets.go to the north,u see them enjoying their opel, Peugeot, Honda and their likes.how many Nigerians know what they are missing by not getting a Subaru product? Very strong and reliable products.but that would be a discussion for another day.lets stick to the Nissan issue for now.till then, happy sales.

Don't misunderstand my post,"some people" not all people.its also funny that when a friend has issues with his xc90,I do put a call to u for recommendations of what to replace and you have always sent numbers of reliable sellers especially when he needed the alternator and fuel pump assembly replaced.some come to your page and still ask till date if. Volvo parts are a available in the market.

There is nothing in a Murano that u won't find in a Pathfinder,Xterra,quest,fx35 or ex 35 other than the engine, same applies to Infiniti from 05 and above.

but why are others' transmission not as problematic as that of Murano?

Maintenance culture
Fake lubricants
Unqualified mechanics
There is nothing special in a CVT,that is to someone who understands how it truly works and knows what he/she is doing.toyota and Honda also have cars fitted with CVT.
The Toyota 2az engine is prone to oil shortening and oil pump failure after 100k miles, this is a factory defect but people still buy.
Toyota 13 pin and 22 pin transmission is very expensive cos of it being delicate.any use of the wrong lubricant would cause a deep hole in one's pocket, but people still buy.once a Murano is in top condition, and maintenance culture is followed properly, there is virtually nothing to worry about.

Sold it after I got the Infiniti QX56.There was no reason to keep 2 full size SUVs.

@Alexgray : my own experience was with Nissan Quest..I bought for my mum...instead of buying sinenna then for 2.5, I bought the quest for 1.8...a move I keep regretting..first it's started Entering "SLIP" move..once in that mode..it can't move..then a lot of sensor issues..Geez..My mum did not enjoy that car for one day..it was from one mechanic to another..every day I got calls from her introducing me to new mechanic that will do it once and for all.they scan the car tire..dem chop me dry...after all the stress and resources wasted...we sold it for 800k.. added money and bought a 2002 Sienna....since then..even God Rested..cos dem turn fixing of car to prayer point.. grin cheesy

I am not privy to any Nissan Murano sold on this forum for 800k with tokunbo gear. The simple fact that a faulty Murano was sold for 800k does not mean all muranos shld be sold for 800k even if it is in top form.
Kindly point me to any Murano you find for 800k, stating the exact issues it has,and I would gladly buy and use to show that Nissan Murano ,provided it's in good condition is a reliable car like any other Japanese brand.

I have not personally used the Nissan quest,I don't fancy mini vans, but one thing I can confirm to you is that u bought a faulty Nissan quest.same thing would have occured if you also bought a faulty Toyota sienna.i once had a client in ikoyi back then whose wife never joked with her 2005 Nissan quest which she used for work and picking up her kids.most cars from 2006 hardly develop mechanical issues but electrical issues.most people don't know when to invite a diagnostic expert or an automotive electrician.everytime,mechanic.most mechanics hardly attend refresher courses or seek more knowledge.u can't use the knowledge of fixing Peugeot 504 with a Peugeot 508.

You're still doing your best to try and demarket our dear Volvo brand, all on top your quest to defend Murano.

You introduced Volvo XC90 here unprovoked and keep insisting, hope you're ready for my own special brand of "trolling back" if you keep it up grin grin

You think you have your hands full already with the ones dragging you already? Try and add Volvo again grin grin

Pls stop posting half truths or should I call it deceit. In as much as I don't want to demarket the sale, I won't agree to this misyan.

Mrano and others that follow CVT gear have different transmission from the other Nissan products you mentioned.
I loved murano and had rocked one that was sent directly from the States. The electrical systems are superb. There are four brain boxes controlling different components including sensors in all the wheels. The extra smooth gear could outrun Benz or Bm. Its a fantastic car.

But, but, you can't stand the transmission issues when it starts. Then I was almost on my knees begging the expert in Zuba to fix the brainbox issue. Paid a lot of money that in wont mention here. Ordinary mechanic opened account on my head, using all sort of gimmicks to extort me. So tey, one day wen God wan deliver me, I heard his apprentice speaking in Igbo (he didn't know I understood the language) telling him that he should have advised me to sell the car.
Most of the parts were not available in Apo. You needed to go to Zuba to get parts and in each case, the prices were jaw dropping.

However, they said the only way to get peace of mind is to replace the engine and gear system with sienna own, if you want peace of mind.
Please, let us not start saying what we don't know or deceive people because we want to sell.
Murano has an entirely different transmission.

The truth is from research, and reviews, the first generation of Nissan murano's CVT was very prone to issues.
