THE SHAME AND DISGRACE OF JERUSALEM

It's not just about pain but also about shame and reproach. Truly, God knows how to disgrace someone in the sight of people that once respected the person; and God also knows how to honor someone in the sight of people that once disrespected the person.

[Psalms 25:1-3 KJV] — Unto Thee, O LORD, do I lift up my soul. O my God, I trust in Thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me. Yea, let none that wait on Thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause."

Behold the Lord sends His Messengers to bring His people out of shame, not to put them to shame. Part of His grace is to bring His people out of disgrace. Do not receive the Grace of God in vain, so you don't become vain or disgraced by the grace of God.

If a church is in ruins and disgrace, the pastors and prophets are to blame. Jerusalem was ruined and disgraced because of her pastors and prophets who were praying for Jerusalem and prophesy good things over her, but never exposed her sins to bring her out of her spiritual shame into repentance. Many pastors and prophets today are leading multitudes of Christians into shame and disgrace by praying for them and prophesying or declaring good things over them without exposing the sins of those Christians and warning against sin. This was the reason Jerusalem was disgraced because of such pastors and prophets who never exposes the sins of Jerusalem nor preach deeply against sins to her. As it is written,

Your prophets had nothing to tell you but lies; Their preaching deceived you by never exposing your sin. They made you think you did not need to repent.

Everyone who passes by mock you, clapping their hands, hissing and shaking their heads in scorn at the Daughter of Jerusalem. “Is this really the city that people called the perfection of beauty, the joy of all the earth?” they ask.

All your enemies mock you and glare at you with hate. They curl their lips and sneer, “We have destroyed it! This is the day we have waited for!”

The Lord has achieved what he decided; he has done what he warned he would. Just as he determined to do long ago, he has destroyed you, showing no mercy. He has allowed the enemy to gloat over your defeat, and he has given power to those who attack you.

The reason why Jerusalem remains disgraced till today is found in the words uttered by God's Son:

“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the killer of the prophets and stoner of those sent to her—how often I wanted to gather your children together the way a hen gathers her chicks under her wings! But you did not want it. Look! Your house is abandoned to you. Matthew 23:37-38

Jesus first warned them that if they continue in their unbelief towards him their Kingdom (the goodies God promised) will be given to another nation producing the fruitage of faith:

"This is why I say to you, the Kingdom of God will be taken from you and be given to a nation producing its fruits." Matthew 21:43

Jesus kept warning them that the blood of all faithful servants of God slain on this planet will be brought upon the nation of Israel:

"from the blood of Abel down to the blood of Zech·a·riʹah, who was killed between the altar and the house.’ Yes, I tell you, it will be charged against this generation." Luke 11:51

Despite all these warnings the Jews denied Jesus of Nazareth before the Roman governor Pontius Pilate and demanded that his blood should come upon them and their yet unborn children:

“Let his blood come upon us and upon our children.” Matthew 27:25

OK let's say all that happened thousands of years ago but what of our own time?

Those living in that land have continued to hold grudge against the Son of God even passing a bill that Jesus' name shouldn't be mentioned again in their country!

God sent a bird of prey to tear their countries flag as a symbol of condemnation but they still attached God's clear warning to the nations around them.
Can you imagine that?
They were saying the bird was sent by enemies of their nation!
All these happened in our own time that's why God opened the flood of death towards them let them continue fighting and see if they can survive the wrath of God.
Jesus has declared the one and only way they could be spared from anguish:


For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’”‭‭Matthew 23:39 NIV‬‬

Jesus is the Prince of Peace {Isaiah 9:6} Israel will never ever see PEACE again until the nation and her rulers welcome those coming to that nation as preachers and teachers in the name of Christ Jesus the Prince of Peace!
