Swahili ~ 200m

Hausa ~ 80m

Yoruba ~ 45m

Fula/Fulfude ~ 35m - 40m

Can't even count the number of igbo households I know where the parent and children primarily communicate in Yoruba

The language has so many beautiful dialects with proud speakers, so if an Igbo man from a dialect feels more comfortable speaking in his dialect than speaking the central Igbo he is still speaking the language cool

Still doesn't make it easier to learn than other Nigerian languages.
Besides theres a deliberate attempt by Some igbos for others not to understand igbo because they feel they won't be able to talk in Secret.
The language is beautiful no doubt
But its difficult to learn and understand
