They know they might not have it too easy in the next elections due to their failures, that's why they're trying to reduce that effect by relying on propaganda.

You understand the game very well.

Tinubu met dollar at N700 to a single dollar and right before his eyes, it went up to N1,900. But we're praising his incompetence for subsidizing it to fall to N1,400.

Buhari met dollar at N200 and he left it at N700.

APC is all about noise and lies.

Nonsense!

Tinubu met it at NGN800 or thereabout.

The gap between the official market and parallel market was almost NGN400. Round tripping was the order of the day.

Today, there is a convergence.

CBN is selling dollars yet our foreign reserve is increasing.

Use your sense!!

The strategy was to get the naira to a value they could easily defend without hurting our foreign reserves.

Today there is a convergence between the official and parallel market rates

Obviously, it is gradually inching towards the official rate. Isn't it high time CBN reduced it to, let's say, N900/$ or 1k/$. And same thing be repeated when it starts converging again. With more effort, we might see the rate getting as low as 200/$ before the end of the year.

You don't expect Tinubu to continue to subsidize dollars like Buhari did for years with $1.5b monthly. For how long?If you were the president you would not do such. It's a generally supported view that Naira should be allowed to find its level.

This is what Tinubu did even though some proponents of this went back to criticize Tinubu. No wahala. Tinubu is on course and Nigeria ship shall sail safely soonest.
Re: Naira gain: Pressure Mounts On FX Hoarders To Sell Off Dollars by Adolfnigeria: 2:15pm On Mar 24
I feel sorry for those that had to buy dollar to pay for school fees etc.
But selling off dollars will be a mistake.
In the history of Nigeria, you cannot go wrong holding dollars. From 1$=1N to 1$=1400....
Better hold your dollars, better find how to hold it in Fixed deposit.

For agbadorians, even your god, TINUBU, has most of his assets in dollars/pounds.

Nobody is begging you to sell. I pray you don't sell before PH refinery and Dangote Refinery starts operation. It's only then you would realize that khaki no be leather. That's when you would learn in hard ways. Tinubu would not force you to sell, do your things and allow Tinubu to do his own.
Re: Naira gain: Pressure Mounts On FX Hoarders To Sell Off Dollars by Omoapena(m): 2:21pm On Mar 24

That is not how it works.
When the dollar was floated, it fell freely too fast due to the believe
of many that a floated Naira will keep falling. Hence they bet against it.
The CBN made a U-turn and fixed it. Along with crackdown on outside bank trades,
it regained some value.
Now nobody knows the "real" rate. Not the CBN and not the traders.
If the traders sense that a CBN fixed rate is too low, they will start massive buying again
and it will start rising again.

This kinda make sense

. Different govt comes with different policies. No matter who comes to the saddle will face a similar scenario or worst than except the govt wants to keep borrowing to peg the dollars. How long can a country keep borrowing to finance white elephant projects?

What you see today is an overtime effect of government weaknesses and lack of ability to buckle up to face the problem head long.

In medicine, docs will advise you to stop all medications u have been taking without prescription to be able to find out where your problem is coming from. A problem not known can’t be solved. What Tinubu did was a proper diagnosis . Now they are tackling it and this will take a long time to have proper effects. Because a lot of factors contribute to the dollar/Naira rates.

However, the dollar can’t fall below 1000Naira to dollar. Govt needs the liquidity to finance projects.

Binance that came to manipulate the rate have been sent out of Nigeria

FG also meant business when they accused AbokiFx of manipulating the dollar/naira rate, they shut down the website. And naira kept crashing.

Now it's Binance.

Who will be next?

Yeye people.

Good Luck to Nigeria

Nobody will praise your dull president for inflicting suffering to the people he pledged to preside over to make life easy to.

The way the dollar was moving up, everyone predicted it will go beyond the limit.

Coming down to N1,400 isn't enough. He should reduce it to the nearest minimum.

Don't tell me that you're happy it's pegging at N1,400?🥺

If you say Tinubu is dull, what will u say Peter Obi is??

Obi is very dull, hear him when he speaks

Y do we Nigerians loves suffering and smiling, under the space of 6months the naira lost its value exponentially, none called for protest, none called for the head of the president or cbn governor.

The yoruba were singing "God will make a way".
The igbos were chanting "Nsogbo, Nsogbo".
The hausa were trying to stay alive.
The south south, full time bunkering.

It's a pity

Lol, this mumu thinks its changing of Presidents that will fix the country. I wonder the fooooools that gave birth to a disappointment like you. Presidents have been coming and going since 1960, how many houses your papa build? did change of Presidents and value of DOLLAR make your father succeed. Buyer made in Nigeria goods, you've been told several times.
