Panic As Fulani Arrive Benue Community In 3 Trucks by kpakpakpa(m): 10:13pm On Mar 25
My villa is on a standstill, 3trucks full of fulani and cows arrive yesternight in a neighbouring village.

According to them, they paid a local a huge sum to give them a large piece of land for grazing which the accused also confirmed but villagers are having none of it and insist they must go back to where they come from.

The individual that collected money has been arrested by the youths and handed over to the traditional rulers, he confess collecting money and giving part to his immediate kinsmen which they also agreed and say they use their part of the largese to buy food and started farming with another part.

However the neighbouring communities and those who did not benefit vowed that it will be over their dead body to accept having fulani as neighbours. The man that collected money was nearly lynched and handed over to the traditional head to settle the misunderstanding.

Meanwhile the fulani has pledge not to bring problem to the community but people insist they must leave.

It is on record that the fulani were occupying a part of the neighbouring but were asked to leave which they did peacefully. But this ones stood their ground and insist they must have their money back before they will move an inch. So far some suggested that;

1 they should tax every community member to pay them back and avoid trouble.

2. Others are of the opinion that those who collected money should say them back even if it means selling their ancestral land to the neighbouring communites and thus seize to exist.

3. While the most vocal group which is the youth is of the opinion that they must leave with or without money unless they are ready to do suya to the villagers with their many cows which means war.

So far, the elders are calming the situation and looking for solution to solve the problem.
