WOMEN ARE POWERFUL.

Few days ago, I finished work to find out my car battery was flat. As a new driver, I was confused and anxious while thinking of what to do. I looked around to find someone I could ask for help under the rain 🌧️ and darkness, I saw this woman in her late 50’s I guess walk so fast to her car and about to move off. I quickly paced to her driver’s side and signaled to talk to her, she wind down and before she could inquire what I wanted, I already rapped my situation.
Me: “I have a flat battery can you help me please?”
Her: “You will like to jump start your car “
Me: yes please.
Her: I don’t have a jump start cable in my car have you got one?
Me: yes please.
Her: where is your car?
Me: in the next car park, pointing to the car park I parked.
Her: where?
Me: can I show you?
Her: come on then, please can you use the passenger back seat as I have stuffs packed in the car.
Me: no problem ma.

She drove to where I parked following my direction, we both came down under the 🌧️. Where is the jump starter she asked, I opened the car but the boot wouldn’t open, she opened the back door, bent the back seat and told me to come check for where it is in my boot. I brought it out quickly and made to open my bonnet. The cable is short so it wouldn’t reach to my car from your position. Is your car a manual or automatic? Manual I replied. Ok, we can push it then because mine is an automatic and it would have been impossible if it was mine.
I and a upto 60 years old woman push the car? I thought in my mind. While still in thoughts the woman already bent in front of the car ready to push, are you sure you can push I asked. Don’t be silly, push from your side she replied. We rolled the car backwards a few meters then she drove her car to the front, her bonnet facing mine.
While connecting the jump starter a man drove in, and walked to us. Do you need help he asked, we will be fine the woman replied, are you sure? He kept coming, I replied yes we are only trying to jump start my car. Alright, I will look after it while you both try to pump the gas at the same time.

It worked at first try, I turned off the ignition and the battery didn’t come up, we tried again for the second time but stayed on it a bit longer this time and that was it. Battery boosted car ready to travel. I moved a bit, parked but not turned off o 😂. I walked to the woman’s driver’s side again as she was already driving behind me. Thank you very much ma, I’m Emmanuel and I’m really very grateful for your help, who knows what would have happened if you weren’t here.

We both drove off.

While driving home i realized I was wet and cold, the woman must be wet and cold too as we did everything under cold and rain 🌧️.
I imagined the help, skills and strength the woman demonstrated. Unknown to me that women wild such strength and energy. I thought of back home and how it’s almost a taboo for a girl to start I pass my neighbor generator. How my sister will call her husband to come and carry HIS CAR if there is ever a breakdown.
These and a lot more are the psychological limitations we have empowered our women to. Not that they are weak to handle them, NEVER, but the mindset which our odogwu’s wife mindset promotes.

I know the story is still developing....

But when you get someone who calls you Odogwu's wife, you become limitless.
