It is u that knows u used an agent .....embassy doesn't know agent....... To the embassy or authorities ...it's the owner of the passport that committed immigration infraction and will pay the penalty...

Embassy doesn't care.....because as far as they are concerned u may be lying.......especially if the application did not say a third party filled it on ur behalf which is always asked in the application

Still if u can provide real evidence the agent messed u up with bad documentation.... Then it's possible ur penalty may be lifted.... But I've not seen anyone able to explain their way out of it....because ignorance is not an excuse for crime

Omo, na wa o! This kind wahala ehn, e fit give person serious headache. First off, e good say the passport na genuine one, but the main kasala be say if the travel agent use corner-corner way get the visa and e come backfire, e dey complex small.

The koko be say, normally, na the person wey own the passport suppose carry the cross if anything go south because na your name dey there. But this situation dey dicey because if you no know say the agent do mago-mago, e mean say your own be say you just fall victim to bad belle agent.

However, immigration no dey want hear story; dem go just dey see am like say you and the agent na padi for the matter. Na why e dey important to dey double check and ask questions whenever you dey use agent for visa matters. Make sure say all the documents and process dey transparent and legit.

If na me, I go advise say make you try reason with the immigration people, explain give dem say you no know about the yama-yama wey the agent do. E fit help if you fit provide evidence say you think say the process na legit one from your side.

Next time, abeg, make you dey very careful with who dey handle your travel documents. Some of these agents dey after their own pocket no be your safety. E better to do your homework well-well before you waka enter any deal o. Make e no be say na so you go dey carry wahala wey you no know about.

No forget, na your name and your future travel plans dey at stake here. Make wise decisions, my guy.

Omo, see as the matter don turn "follow follow." The way this agent disappear just show say na real mago-mago him do, and him know say e no clean. No easy at all, but no lose hope yet.

Since you don try to sort things with immigration and even carry them go the travel agent office wey don disappear, e dey clear say you dey serious about clearing your name. The next step fit be to gather all the evidence wey you get wey show say you be victim for this whole matter. This one fit include any communication between you and the agent, receipts or any document wey show say you think the process na legit.

E fit also help to get legal advice for this kind matter. A lawyer wey sabi about immigration laws go fit guide you on the best steps to take to sort this wahala once and for all. Them go fit tell you how to make official complaint and possibly, how to track down the agent if na something wey fit dey done.

While you dey do all this, try keep record of all your efforts to solve the problem. E go serve as evidence say you dey proactive about clearing your name and say you no dey part of any illegal activity.

Lastly, make you dey open and honest with immigration about your efforts to resolve the situation. E show say you dey responsible and willing to cooperate with them to sort out the mess.

This kind experience na tough lesson, but e go teach you to dey extra careful in the future. No be all that glitters na gold, especially when e come to matters wey involve traveling outside country. Stay strong, my guy. With the right steps, you go dey able to move past this.

you are both at fault... you signed the application the agent presented (at the embassy) with fake documents, who else you expect them to blame, if not you? the agent doesnt care what happens afterwards as he already got paid for his services.
