Almubee Group Clarifies Client Refund Situation Following Demolition Incident by barcitymedia: 6:01pm On Apr 05
Almubee Group, a leading real estate company headquartered in Abuja, wishes to address recent reports regarding client refunds following a demolition incident in the Wuye area.

The company's Chief Communication Officer, Israel Evra Abdullahi provided clarity on the matter, emphasizing that Almubee Group is not currently indebted to any client.

The situation arose when five clients who had invested in our Wuye project requested refunds following a demolition carried out by the Development Control arm of the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA). This demolition, widely reported by various news media outlets, was attributed to violations of regulations by some clients, as detailed in online reports.

In response to the demolition, Almubee Group promptly complied with the recommendations of the Development Control arm by submitting for resubmission. Subsequently, the company obtained final building approval, and construction activities have since resumed at the site.

Efforts were made to engage with the five affected clients, urging them to fulfill their outstanding payments and resume work at the site. However, they declined this offer and insisted on refunds. Almubee Group agreed to process the refunds in accordance with its established company policy, which stipulates that deposits are refundable but subject to the resale of the land.

Regrettably, despite our efforts to address their concerns privately, the clients opted to air their grievances in the media. We view these actions as unwarranted, particularly as they are compounded by the influence of certain malicious entities. Consequently, Almubee Group intends to pursue legal recourse against these individuals.

Additionally, it has come to our attention that our Chairman and CEO, Emperor Mubarak Abuche, has been the subject of media scrutiny regarding his philanthropic endeavors, particularly his recent donation to the family of the late musician Mohbad. We wish to clarify that such philanthropic gestures are intrinsic to our Chairman's ethos and have been a longstanding practice of his. Almubee Group fully supports his commitment to giving back to the community and will continue to uphold these values.

Almubee Group remains steadfast in its dedication to delivering quality real estate solutions and upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity. We appreciate the continued support of our clients, stakeholders, and the public as we navigate through this situation.
