Northern Elders Speak Out: Tinubu’s Government Fails To Ensure Security, Demands by Nigeriafocus784: 8:13am On Apr 07
The Northern Elders Forum issued a stern rebuke to President Bola Tinubu, asserting that the prevailing insecurity nationwide underscores the government’s failure to safeguard Nigerians. Emphatically stating “enough is enough,” the Forum highlighted the Kuriga abduction as yet another tragic incident underscoring the urgent need for enhanced security measures.

In a statement conveyed by spokesperson Abdul-Azeez Suleiman, the Forum expressed gratitude for the safe return of the abducted children while firmly asserting that compromising the safety and security of children is intolerable. The Forum emphasized that living under such precarious conditions, especially in the northern region, is untenable.

The statement underscored concerns regarding the apparent failure of the Tinubu administration to ensure the fundamental security of citizens mere months into its tenure, urging immediate action from leadership to address these pressing issues.

While celebrating the return of the Kuriga school children, the Forum underscored the necessity of viewing the event as a wake-up call, warning against complacency in the face of violence and disrespect for human life. As custodians of tradition and wisdom, the Elders stressed their duty to safeguard the next generation.

Priority was given to the safety and well-being of children, with a call for accountability and decisive action from leaders to tackle security challenges head-on. The return of the Kuriga school children was hailed as a symbol of community resilience, urging unity and proactive efforts to create safer environments for children and communities alike.

Well, school children adoptions did not start with Tinubu (not making excuses for him anyways).

They did it to Jonathan to make his regime look weak and bad and till today some of those girls are still under captivity.

It happened under Buhari too and one of the girls today is still under captivity due to her religious beliefs and faith

And now under Tinubu.

One thing I noticed is that the North chose silence when it happened under their brother Buhari but chose to make the most noise under southern presidents.

E get as e be!

Until the North decide to do away with these terrorists operating in their midst I don't think their is nothing much Tinubu can do as all his efforts would be wasted.

Talking from the the Jonathan experience.
