I saw a thread on front page that listed 20 countries that owe US money

This is WRONG

These countries are the ones that USA owe money to , not the other way round . They’re holders of US debt . They’re creditors

China is not owing USA , USA is owing China

Lot of copy and paste charlatans on social media these days. It's becoming increasingly hard getting actual fact with the saturation of media space with these journalist wannabes.

I deduced the fact from the original post, just by the designation of the listed countries as "creditors ", that in itself negates the very attempt to invert the truth, but was too layed back to put up a rebuttal, cos I know lots of mindless dummies will come for US defense, which I have no desire to babysit anyone, but it's good you've risen to the occasion; at least, for benefit of unsuspecting online users.

These days it's sickening the amount of reading between lines, sieving and deduction one has to do just to get basic information.
