Why We Reopen Naija Writers United by Naijawritersutd(m): 12:57pm On Apr 11
Back in 2018, the craving to learn, share and grow in my love for literature got me inspired to create a writers group
With zero experience managing a WhatsApp group, I went ahead with my funds and created and marketed a writers group called Naija Writers United, all in the hope of starting a revolution in our dying literary culture

But I failed

With little return for my funding and running the group, and it's adverse effect on my job, family obligations and health, I decided to take some time off and find ways to restrategize and bring some freshness to my operation

But I never did

Instead, I shut it down after I tried to make a come back and carry out a sanitizing exercise to get rid of the jokers, clowns and pretenders in our midst

I met strong resistance from some quarters who were hell-bent on derailing the group from her mission

It was a messy affair. So I decided to shut it down for good

But calls and messages have been constant ever since from people all over to get me to reopen the group to those serious about learning the art of telling stories and wish to continue enjoying the mentoring and resources she offers

So in honouring the yearning of our real members who i hold in high esteem, I reopened Naija Writers United to the public

Suffice to say, the task of governing an educational community such as this takes a lot of time, thoughts and financial resources and will be needing all the supports and co-operation it can get from members

I implore our members to adhere to the rules and dictates of the community in order to align with her mission of nurturing aspiring writers to become better and published authors

As your Governor, I am looking forward to putting up a great service to the needs and aspirations of our writers community. And i promise to do all in my power to make sure I run the affairs of the community to the best of my ability

I'm available for your enquires, (WhatsApp voice calls preferably) +2347033443215

I welcome you all
