I Give Up — This Is My Last Time

Greed has taken over the nation, it's now time for all of us to partake in the greed so that we won't see it as such anymore. Remember, I'm talking about greed, not crime.

Those people that don't benefit from corruption or crime like us are the only ones that call it corruption — the rest call it connection and favor.

From today, I want to stop seeing what market women are doing in increasing prices of goods even though the Naira is appreciating as corruption or greed, but favor.

They've been favored. It's their turn to shine. When they were busy going to farm and planting things, what were we doing? Is agriculture and being killed by herdsmen in their farms only for them? No, it's for everyone. They took the risk, so it's time for them to enjoy at our detriment.

The only people I'm supposed to be upset with are the potbelly middle men who make majority of the profits and control the pricing by lying about money spent on transportation and other logistics.

Some farmers are now wiser — they no longer sell to these middle men, but directly to customers at a rate the middle men usually sell it. Greed jam gree-die.

Instead of complaining, let's see the good side of this bad situation APC has put us in with food crisis.

1. Instant birth control (Nobody needs to tell couples with 4 kids already to control their lib-îdos and stop manufacturing more except they're too rich to be bothered.

2. We've now realized the main thing in life is not money, but food first (agriculture). Even if you have the money, but no one wants to sell foodstuff to you, you'll dîe of hunger or forced to plant yours.

3. Struggling men that wanted a 2nd or 3rd wife have abandoned their plans. Very good. More than 1 woman should be reserved for multimillionaires and billionaires who have multiple businesses across the globe—not for struggling men.

4. All the women that used to reject farmers are now realizing it's not always about white-collar jobs and being a graduate. Brain reset.

5. Fornicators that love skin-to-skin are now using condom to avoid unwanted child or infection. Price of curing an infection or training a child has gone up. The best way to control population is when the people increasing the number of humans in a nation realize it's not a good idea for now. It's nations like Singapore, Japan, etc. that need more children, not Nigeria.

6. Men would rather save up now and do DNA test for 800k to 1m and know where they stand than spending 8-20 million on FOOD and SCHOOL FEES training a child only to realize, 15 years later, that his favorite Jezebel (his wife) did what most people of her gender are good at despite carrying religion on her forehead and dresses like an old virgin who has never seen how a dxck looks like.

The list is endless.

Let's just agree that people in agro business are currently favored and instead of crying that their prices are up, let's get into agro too. Not your calling? Pay the price.

I initially complained of the prices, but I'm beginning to like it after seeing the numerous benefits that comes with this hardship even though 99% of my money are still in Dollar and crypto.

In summary, food is the greatest thing on Earth even before technology and money.

So, it's not a bad thing that the greatest thing on Earth is expensive. Do you want it to be cheap like the air we breathe?

Just try your best and plant or manufacture something and partake in the national "greed" project that is going on. If you don't, you go complain taya!

It will take at least 2+ years for prices to stabilize, when APC wants another reelection. Funnily, they'll still win.

Go to your village or your friend's village, buy or lease a farmland for a year and do great things with it.

The greed won't stop even if you complain, so partake in it or keep buying at exorbitant prices. The government doesn't care about you. I give up on complaining about the price hike.

Looking back, it baffles me how farmers were painted as "uneducated and poor" in Nigeria, I remember how kids would call you a farmers and others will laugh so loudly. As a kid in his early teen, I remember listening (and watching) destiny kids' song on farmers and it dawned on me that a lot of Nigerians lack quality education — and this is not me talking down on their educational background.

Without farmers, there would be no food and a lot of these "graduates" who think they're better than farmers would go back to living in an hunter gathering society grin. Indeed, agriculture is one of the most important element needed to keep a country's foundation.

Sadly, it took the emergence of APC for Nigerians to realize this. There are still parents who would slap their children's mouth if they said they wanted to be a farmer.

it is not entirely how u see it.
Everybody was not in a position to go to farm, some persons just left school and start fending for themselves, some just finished NYSC programs and are looking for a way to stand. Some people are even taking care of themselves in school.
You don't expect these people to go to farm while studying and serving. There is no favour here, its just pure devlish to keep price the way it was when dollar was 1900

😂😂😂😂😂😂 I know, but there is nothing I can do, so I had to adjust and accept it as their favor.

Legit. Even when the country recovers, people will still look down on farmers. Thank God Obasanjo, Amaechi, and other big names are also into farming to give it a better image.

Economists say competition will bring prices down unless there is price fixing. This dollar fall might be fake

I will surely do so too in the future and that's if I choose to stay back in Nigeria. Farming is so much fun and I love things that challenge me to do more; it makes life interesting as someone battling depression.

It's simply supply and demand Crisis.

It's not the dollar that's skyrocketing the price of food & some other consumables like the government would have us believe.

Like you said, this is the consequences of a lot of people stigmatizing farming as a profession, the lackadaisical attitude of the government towards food production in Nigeria (the average proportion of the budget allocated to agriculture is 2.1%, are we expecting a magic), & then no security for farmers.

Even if $$ plummets to 500naira to one $ today, the prices of food will still be expensive cos of these reasons.

The whole dollar charade by the government is just peak fooling & it won't last for long.

They are just looking for a way to absolve themselves off the blame.

Selling $$ from the treasury at a cheaper price is a farce & won't boost local production of food.

You can't falsify production!

Everybody can't go into farming, some ppl do business that gives them more than they can ever get if they go into farming.

Just pray u always have money to spend on what u, need cox that person who sells a painter of garri for 3k won't eat her cash she will still need to buy other things nd that's where the price hike will catch up with her.

Mr man, just shut up, if you don't understand what's happening, how many businesses are in existence to compete here in Nigeria

And these top businesses have been in existence for over 20 yrs.

And you expect a small business of today, with this harsh economy to compete, the cost of diesel Alone would kill your business instantly.

Your lineage will forever shut up in my presence now and forever. Amen!

You ended up not making a point. Rest, Mr. Shut up.

I know your next reply will be to brag about how you can feed every living thing on Earth and how your dad made Dangote who he is.

I won't dignify you with another reply though. Bow in shame or reply angrily and get ignored.
