New information about the Iranian-Israeli conflict presented by this episode of Samri Channel.
The American newspaper "Washington Post" reported that an Iranian delegation visited a Russian arms manufacturing company last March and, in the midst of its visit, toured a factory that manufactures products that Tehran has long wanted to obtain: advanced Russian air defense systems.

The newspaper indicates in an article by writer Joby Warrick, published on the pages of the newspaper’s website, under the title “Russian weapons help Iran strengthen its defenses against Israeli air strikes,” that the “NPP Start” factory, which is located in the city of Yekaterinburg, is subject to American sanctions.

Among its products are mobile launchers and other components of anti-aircraft batteries - including the Russian S-400 system, which military analysts estimate is capable of "detecting and destroying stealth fighter aircraft flown by Israel and the United States."

Whether the visit resulted in purchases of one of these systems is “an unknown matter,” the newspaper reported, “but the trip symbolizes what intelligence officials describe as a deep strategic partnership between Moscow and Tehran over the past two years, an alliance that could emerge as an important factor while... "Israeli leaders are considering possible military strikes."

The Washington Post says that after “Iran opened a new and dangerous chapter in its relations with Russia, by agreeing in 2022 to supply thousands of drones and missiles on the battlefield to help Moscow in its war against Ukraine,” Russia pledged to “provide its ally with drones.” Advanced fighter and air defense technology.

The newspaper adds, citing officials and experts, “It is not known how many systems have been provided and deployed, but Russian technology could turn Iran into a much stronger adversary, with an enhanced ability to shoot down aircraft and missiles.”

Intelligence officials described to the American newspaper that Russia “is offering secretly negotiated agreements to supply Iran with Su-35 aircraft.” “Russia also pledged to provide technical assistance for Iranian spy satellites, as well as help build missiles to put more satellites in space,” the officials said. The Washington Post concludes by saying, “Even if Russian systems such as the S-400 are not actually sold to Iran and deployed there, the exchange of design information and technological expertise could quietly enhance Iran’s capabilities without raising alarms in the West.”

On the other hand, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi said that Iran's response will be harsh to any move targeting its interests, and this is part of a series of Iranian statements that have not stopped over the years. However, the actions did not live up to the level of the threat, especially in two prominent events. The first was the response to the killing of the prominent leader of the Revolutionary Guard, Qassem Soleimani, and the second was the response to the targeting of the consulate building in Damascus. Raisi's statements came a day after Israel announced that it would respond to the attack launched by Tehran with drones and missiles at the weekend.

The Israeli Broadcasting Authority announced on Tuesday that Israel had sent a message to the countries of the region that responding to the Iranian attack would not endanger the stability of these countries. Israeli reports indicated that the response to Tehran is likely to be conducted in a way that does not lead to dragging the region into a comprehensive war and in a way that the Americans can accept.

Tehran launched hundreds of missiles and drones on Saturday night at Israel, in response to the bombing of its consulate in Damascus on April 1. With the help of the United States and other allies, Israeli air defenses were able to intercept the majority of these missiles and drones.
