Gej On How Nigerians Should Be Treated By The International Community by mukina2: 1:32pm On Nov 18, 2011
My personal work ethic as President of Nigeria is that government must be responsive to the governed and this is what I communicated to functionaries of this administration-Ministers, Special Advisers and heads of MDAs and I expect no less. This is why I have given my support to the effort by the minister of aviation and the agencies under that ministry to ensure equitable treatment is meted out t, o Nigerian airlines and travelers. Under my watch, Nigeria will fulfill her commitments to her friends and allies and the general International Community. However, there must be reciprocity and Nigeria and Nigerians must always be treated with the respect we accord others. This is what I stand for and Nigerians should expect this level of representation in all sectors of the polity. GEJ

this is a good step in the right direction. we work very hard but we are still a laughing stock to most of these western countries and we get bad treatment because our leaders are bad leaders

This is just hot air. Sometimes Some Nigerians are treated the way they deserved to be treated.

well, ok at least his comment shows that he is actually paying attention to what the masses are saying.
We only hope he has enough courage to ensure that Nigeria ios respected by the international community.
The aviation debacle should serve as a warning signal to the rest of the international community that nigeria is not to be taken for granted.

You have a point. However, the hasty generalizations of Nigerians by the international community can be dumbfounded and needs quality personal attention from above.

Nigeria is in need of more than just good intentions, Sir.
Poser: name just one past Head of State/President who professed evil intentions. Just one will do!

You know what they say about the road to hell?
It is paved with good intentions. grin

Presido needs to shake off the toga of ineptitude and indecision which has characterised his administration to date.
This can be done by adopting a frontal approach to tackling the hydra-headed menace of corruption, security and inadequate infrastructure, to assuage the growing fears of Nigerians.

We fit chop good intentions?

All words without action is like spiting in the win,  It will only land in your face.

More action : less talk please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Re: Gej On How Nigerians Should Be Treated By The International Community by Kobojunkie: 3:03pm On Nov 18, 2011
My people talk say "Charity begins at home". While I am not for mistreatment of people of Nigerian decent, abroad, I do have to add, that the treatment we get is not so unrelated to the treatment of Nigerians in Nigeria by this same Government.
Re: Gej On How Nigerians Should Be Treated By The International Community by Nobody: 3:11pm On Nov 18, 2011
I agree Nigerians should be greeted with good treatments. The question is, are we really ready to exercise our rights by stopping to engage in criminal and corrupt activities?

what action are you looking for again?

recently the landing slots for british airways was reduced from seven to three  as regards the treatment meted out to arik,
this week british airways was fined 134 million dollars and virgin atlantic fined a hundred million, for overcharging its nigerian passengers.

what actions do you people want?

he should go and blow up their planes?

be informed and criticise responsibly

Charity begins at home let Jonathan ensures that Nigerians are treated well within Nigeria first especially by the Nigerian Police and other security agencies then he'll realise he doesn't need to cry this loud before international communities start to treat us well
Re: Gej On How Nigerians Should Be Treated By The International Community by brainpulse: 3:52pm On Nov 18, 2011
the question is how do we treat ourselves in our own land, where some few still mal treat majority, armed uniform men still beat up citizen and we blame other countries from treating us like animals.

Dumbo, if u are responsive, you wont be talking about instant and immediate removal of fuel subsidy and tenure elongation in the midst of Boko Haram and abject Poverty.
Sir, u are lying.

first time one of our leaders will make such a statement

this must be backed with swift and responsive action by most especially our foreign embassies especially the NHC in London.

Mr President HOW will you plan to achieve this? Every Tom, Dick or Harry knows how he should be treated but how are you going to change the situation?

I'm tired of useless phrases like "should be", "in the next 10 years", "we hope to" and other crap politicians spout. How about a plan detailing how you plan to achieve your goals, how about a schedule, milestones to let us know how you are progressing with said plans?
