MEET A RENOWNED GOSPEL ARTIST OF THE 90S REV'D SOPE RUFUS


Rev'd Sope Rufus is a Nigeria Pastor, a renown musician and an Entrepreneur. He is the Chairman of Sope Rufus Ministry, a Ministry specialises in reaching out to the unreached, particularly in the rural area.

Rev'd Sope was born to the family of Rev'd and Mrs John Olatunji Omisope in Ife East local government,where he had his Primary Education at Saint Peter Anglican School and Secondary Education at the Apostolic Grammer School Modakeke Ife.

He later proceeded to be trained as Graphic Artist at Jonad Art institute Ikeja after which he started his own business known as speed Ridders limited in partnership with a friend at Samota Faola Street Ikeja Lagos. He was also trained as a musician under the tutelage of Rev'd Mrs Omobude in the early 90s at Foursquare Gospel Church Alagomeji Yaba.

He received divine mandate to serve in God's vineyard in 1992. Sequel to this, he proceeded to be trained as a full time Pastor under The Nigeria Baptist Theological Seminary Lagos, where he bagged Bachelor Degree in Theology in 2014. Propelled by passion for the kingdom business, he went further for his Masters Degree in Biblical Studies at West Africa Theological Seminary Ipaja Lagos ( An affiliate of University of Nigeria Nsukka)

Sope Rufus as fondly called, served as Evangelist with Christ Apostolic Church, as a Chaplain with Baptist Model college Ijegun Lagos, He also served as as a minister under Rev'd Kristilere of Shepherd Hill Baptist Church Obanikoro at Amazing Grace Baptist Church. He was the pioneer pastor of Zion Baptist Church Ojuore ota, where he faithfully served God and his people for fourteen years before he latter left the church to start his own ministry as directed by the Holy Spirit.
Rev'd Sope Rufus is currently a General Overseer of Zion Army Ministry Iwoye Ota.

As a Musician, he has released several albums to his credit, these includes; Tanimose, Iran Ayo,Iya Eleko, Iku wo etc.

Rev'd Rufus is happily married to Mrs Oluwasefumi Omisope and blessed with glorious children.
