Struggles Of SME In Ibadan:epileptic Power And Minister Of Power Indifference by Tallherveze: 11:57am On Apr 21
In the bustling city of Ibadan, small-scale entrepreneurship has long been hailed as a beacon of hope for economic growth and prosperity. However, beneath the surface of entrepreneurial zeal lies a harsh reality: the persistent challenge of epileptic power supply, compounded by the apparent indifference of the Minister of Power from the State Adelabu Bayo to address the issue.

For months, small-scale entrepreneurs in Ibadan have grappled with the crippling effects of unreliable electricity. Frequent power outages disrupt business operations, undermine productivity, and impose significant financial burdens on businesses already operating on slim margins.

Despite repeated promises and assurances, the Minister of Power has failed to take decisive action to address the root causes of the power crisis in Ibadan. This neglect has left entrepreneurs feeling abandoned and disillusioned, with little hope for meaningful change on the horizon.

According to unverified information, some landlords in certain areas of Ibadan are purportedly offering bribes to select IBEDC workers in exchange for preferential treatment in electricity allocation. The modus operandi is simple yet insidious: by paying bribes to IBEDC employees, these landlords allegedly secure a disproportionate share of electricity, diverting power away from other residents and businesses in the area. This unethical practice not only undermines the principles of fairness and equity but also exacerbates the already precarious situation of electricity distribution in Ibadan.
