The poultry sector has suffered a lot of set back due to current economic situation in the country. Many poultry farmer has closed up and put up their farm for sale due to high cost of production.

The poultry feeds, which take larger percentage of the cost production in poultry business, has increased up to 20k per bag even as the cost of raw material for poultry feed keep increasing daily.

At the moment, the price of a day old broiler ranges from #880 to #945. Many other factors has contributed to this which include the current heat wave, the glut experienced last year amongst other factors.


In few weeks time, if this continues, a broiler may rise up to 1k per chick.
