Tears As Sir Ihekweaba Godson Uwaga Is Buried by Naijafrontpage: 1:11pm On Apr 22
The remains of late Sir Ihekweaba Godson Uwaga, (KCW) were on Friday 19th April laid to rest in his hometown Umuda Isingwu, Ohuhu in Umuahia North LGA of Abia state amidst tears.

The late Sir Ihekweaba Godson Uwaga, (KCW) until his death was a teacher, Great Mathematician, Composer, Choir Master, Father, Grand Father, and Uncle who left an indelible footprint in the teaching profession, he was a devoted Christian, award-winning composer and choirmaster who led his local church to win so many laurels, an author of mathematics books and most importantly a mathematics teacher who made maths classes fun, interesting and simple to understand.

During the funeral service which was held at St James Methodist Church Nigeria, Umuda Isingwu, The Methodist Archbishop of Umuahia Archdiocese, Most Rev Chibuzor Opoko urged Christians and those whom the late Sir Uwaga left behind to emulate the exemplary life of the late Sir Uwaga whom he described as one who dedicated his life to the service of God and humanity and reminded the living of the futility of life and the need to submit their lives to God, He noted that the deceased lived a fulfilled life on earth and has gone back to his creator.

Also speaking the member representing Ikwuano\Umuahia federal constituency Hon. Obi Aguocha encouraged the family and friends of the deceased to take solace in the fact that Sir Uwaga even though dead, left a legacy of selfless service to humanity, he said Sir Uwaga, lived a life worthy of emulation.

One of the children of the late Sir Uwaga Chief Hope Uwaga in an emotionally laden tribute to his late father said “My father was a character engineer with excellent interpersonal skill and an ability to inspire and motivate a generation into success, he impacted so much into humanity and ensured that every child that came under his tutelage was not just successful in academics but in character, he described him as a disciplinarian who didn't spare the rod and never discriminated between his biological children and his students and insisted that his father was simply unforgettable, he expressed gratitude to everyone who attended the ceremony.

At the event were high-profile personalities, including clergymen, community leaders, Government officials, captains of industries, members of the academia friends, and well-wishers of the Uwaga family who gathered to bid the deceased farewell.
