All these private schools with British & American curricula sef
Schools of inferiority complex.
Which British/American school is teaching Nigerian curriculum?
But we are here, using British curriculum to sell market in Nigeria.
At the end of the day, both the parents and kids will run to US or UK so they can be close to White Man, their master.

True...they're just babies. They should 'ground' them like those foreign movies for like 3 days. Infact, the perpetuators need some therapy too. That'll make things right!

It is a thorough indictment of the school

With all the income they have they do not have active cctv in classes?

It had to be through social media they came to know of events in the school.

Which is to say there may be even more events than this, just not capt3by students phones

This is how the other school will also collect 42 m and fail their students

Rest, bullying is Nigerian culture. They see it as a way of discipling the younger/junior wants. We just do not admit a lot of things. Even when the junior goes to report to the teacher, you hear things like he's your senior and stuff like that. Even in some schools, headboy flogs students.

This press release shows that they bully's parent grab wella. It shows sympathy for the bully and treats both the bully and the bullied as victims.

The 'stop circulating the video' is clearly not because of the students involved. We all know this.

It’s just a business center that’s all. The spoken English they claim to teach these students doesn’t sound British nor American. It’s a Nigerian English with a singing tone & lots of like, like, I was like apparently etc. All na scam las las

Bullying did not start today, neither will it end soon. Train your children Kung fu, Taekwndo , Boxing and wrestling. also teach them to be fearless, it is the timidity of that Bwala Girl that makes that girl to hit her repeatedly. when you teach your kids not to fear anyone, no one can bully her anywhere.
Re: Lead British School Addresses Bullying Of Student (Press Statement) by wellmax(m): 3:31pm On Apr 23
The statement by the school is full of unnecessary jargons. Just go straight to the point, too much stories.

By the way, the students were even speaking Hausa. Naso the British school be?

Speak vanacula at home. Not school.

Private school: Bullying
Government School: Fighting
Bullying is the reason there is so much cultism even down to our public secondary schools. How can the whole student watch as one girl or boy is being bullied without anyone trying to stop the bully. I feel for the girl ,see how helpless is was .

I schooled in the 90s when there was nothing like social media...We had bullies who bully at giving opportunity. But hey we stood up to them.
Re: Lead British School Addresses Bullying Of Student (Press Statement) by Moneyyman: 4:37pm On Apr 23
I'm all these, protect both kids from the dangers of the social media. The bully and the victim are still young and have time to improve their lives. These videos will forever dent the name and image of both girls.

Some people talking today did worse to their juniors, simply because they had "authority." Their saving grace is that there were no cameras to capture them.

Appropriate punishment, rehabilitation, and counselling! They are waaaaaay too young to be dating talk more of fighting over a guy.
Re: Lead British School Addresses Bullying Of Student (Press Statement) by okuwehcris: 4:54pm On Apr 23
The major cause can be traced to their teachers who keeps a blind eyes to it, secondly this children learn from their parents, her mother most also be a bully. I have children and my wife does not tolerate my girls looking down on anyone or dare them to speak rudely to anyone.

Parents should train their children to be confidence, nice and smart, but kill the spirit of bullying in them. My first Child dare not bully the younger only. Only that the younger one most respect the elderly one

Sue them for what exactly, for kids being kids or that you as a parent did not bring up your kids properly?

Lol. It doesn’t work like that. You can read their press statement with intent, and you’ll understand it’s to cover any areas a lawsuit will succeed in causing damage to their school and reputation.

Once the students are in the school, the school has full responsibility for their safety. They should have been proactive enough to know that something like this had happened before it reached the media. It makes one wonder how many cases like this they aren’t aware of.

Their lawyer drafted this statement, and I can say they’re really good at their job.

Anyway, this world don spoil sha... In those days, it is the school that will invite the parents with a reprimanding outlook and the parents will be the ones ashamed and hoping that the school does not make it public about the boyfriend issue.

The parents would be hoping that the suspension is done verbally or if through a letter that their immoral act is not documented. But nowadays, after parents fail to discipline their kids at home, tie the hands of teachers in disciplining their kids, they turnaround to want to blame the school for not policing their children during school hours, something even them are not able to do with their kids at home.

Usually, in those days... the so called conselling will be many strokes of the cain from the teachers in school and better beating from parents at home. Then they go report you to big uncle who go come tongue lash you plus give you punishment.
