Sugar, which is an important source of body energy is an essential part of our diet. Glucose, which is a form of sugar is a product of sugar breakdown and the primary fuel for our body functions. Low sugar (glucose) in the blood can lead to hypoglycemia, with weakness, dizziness, hunger, headache etc as its symptims. As important as sugar is, It can also become a problem to us if taken in excess. Excessive sugar consumption has been implicated in obesity, diabetes, metabolic disorders, cardiovascular disease, cancer, fatty liver disease, depression, and cognitive impairment.
