Another Fire Incident Averted At Wuse Market by NaijaCover(m): 5:59am On Apr 26

There was another fire incident at the popular Wuse Market in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Thursday, but no life and property of traders were lost.

In a statement issued by Abuja Investments Company Limited, the fire started at about 7.30pm in one of the restaurants located inside the market.

According to the statement, following the swift response and expert handling of the situation by the Fire Service, the Commissioner of Police and the AICL GMD, the fire was quickly brought under control.

“The incident which started in one of the restaurants has since been brought under control.

“The public is encouraged to remain calm and continue activities and business,” it stated.

Govt, both state and federal should carry out an electrical inspection on all the major markets in Nigeria but unfortunately, there’s no money to be stolen from poor traders so they’ll keep it under KIV.
