It was not Peter Obi who reported it Mr efulefu Reno Omokri. BBC did. Meanwhile, have you heard of epileptic power supply in Tanzania or their national grid collapsing as someone with epilepsy? Zawanike. Yesterday, I read a report in the Media on how Tanzania, our East African fellow nation, recently shut down five hydroelectric stations to reduce excess electricity in the national grid.Their decision to shut down these power stations stemmed from the fact that their electricity production was already enough to power their major cities and give electricity access to the rural dwellers. 4 Likes 1 Share

Access to Electricity in Tanzania is actually 38%. In Nigeria it is 65%, despite our much larger population. Nigeria has an installed generating capacity of 14,000 megawatts, so could easily “generate more power than is required”. The issue is not generating capacity but transmission and distribution capacity. Tanzania has low capacity to transmit and distribute, so they shut down some power plants. They currently can transmit no more than 1,900 mw. They suffer daily power cuts till today. Peter Obi seems not to have learned how electricity works during his visit to Egypt. 5 Likes 2 Shares |

Racoon:Reno okoro knows what he is doing, the job is to keep Nigerians on social media too preoccupied with fabricated stories to remember that there's an acute fuel crisis going on right now and also the catastrophic downward spiral of the economy. I just hope he's cashing out of his mischief so as to take care of his family properly. You on the other hand, as well as fellow Nigerians should stock up on as much foodstuff as possible at least for the next three to six months because as a wise man once said, economics is no respecter of propaganda 2 Likes |

When the gods plan to kill you, they give you HE Peter Obi matter to carry! I'm resident in East Africa, as well as Europe. I spend nothing less than 3-6 months in East Africa representing all manner of companies, eas African countries has excessive electricity, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda and at times Kenya. Obi is an incurable liar. His followers are unfortunately dumb too. So, they lap up whatever nonsense comes out of his mouth. This is how he went to Egypt to 'study' how electricity is generated! 2 Likes |

Even Kainji dam generates lots of electricity that we even export to other countries. The problem is usually the grid or feeders that need serious capital work. I laughed when some illiterates started spreading Misinformation about the Tanzania story. I did not know Peter Obi had joined them in parroting the misinformation.. 1 Like 1 Share
