No African currency has appreciated or depreciated as fast as Naira. When the Government means business and clamp down on their cronies and distractors equally, Naira appreciates. Imagine, just by enforcing existing laws and regulations. Politicians and their cronies have nothing else or productive investment at home to do with Naira. So they keep it and upload it whenever they feel like. Get serious, American dollars is not our currency. Ban most transactions from the Central Bank to the Bureau du Change like we had in the 80s. What do they buy with dollars? Junk, used goods, luxurious cars and humongous houses abroad while paying taxes on them to fund schools, police and essential services abroad. You know the problem. Temporary Crack downs will not solve it. Step on the toes of those who command allocation into their pockets. |

helinues: Do you see how you attract hate for Nigeria? People will now respond to you in the negative and you will claim they hate you, no constructive criticism, no good points, just feeble opposition to peoples honest opinions. |

vanbonattel: You people have swallowed too much lies in your Obidients camp, hence calling almost everything propaganda as it's just too confusing for you guys to differentiate. So you have been missing out from the government programs which Nigerians have been benefiting from as na as usual propaganda whenever the application is out |

Until Tinubu Government mop up excess Naira buried in volts, burial ground, file cabinets, relatives' accounts, fridges and other unproductive places like garages and warehouses, Naira will be falling up and down like a yoyo. Rountripping at Bureau du Change is more beneficial for these vagabonds. Unfortunately, it is the poor majority of Nigerians who do not spend American dollars or Euros that suffer the consequences. Can you now understand how locally produced food become more expensive than imported food? |
