Nimbo community in Uzo-Uwani Local Government Area of Enugu State has again come under attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

DAILY POST learnt that the attack, which occurred late Sunday evening, claimed some lives, with many others critically injured.

Sources disclosed that the herders attacked mourners at Ugwuijoro Nimbo community, leaving behind tears and sorrow.

Some of those killed were identified as Okeh Simon Ugwu Oruku, Okeh Chukwuebuka, Julius Ogbonna Odiegwu and Gabriel Ugwor Ezea.

A gruesome video sighted by DAILY POST Monday morning showed a deserted community.

The voice in the video cried out that the invaders took the villagers by surprise and shot sporadically at the mourners.

Tables and chairs could be seen scattered in the compound where the mourners had gathered, with lifeless villagers also seen in the pool of their blood.

DAILY POST recalls that Nimbo was also attacked in 2016, leading to the death of scores.

The incident attracted a nationwide outrage then.

Meanwhile, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Enugu State Command, DSP Daniel Ndukwe is yet to respond to an enquiry sent by DAILY POST on the latest attack.

Nigeria is on its final leg, the Igbos will revenge the killing of our people that one is certain.

We are not going to preserve Nigeria for them, if they want to scatter it, we will aid and abet them.

There will be no peace agreement with Fulani in SE Igboland. No ranch, No Ruga and No open grazing in SE.

We will continue to uphold the no grazing ban and if them born their papa well, let Fulani carry their stinking cow that they sex to enter Igboland.

fela said it all, people are scared to stand up for themselves waiting for a govt that failed to provide basic amenities to provide something as serious as security. ppl need to stand up and call the govt to order. where are the ppl that shut down the nation for one week in 2012. lots of stuffs aint just right and the govt feel ppl are ok because all they do is jus to wail on social media which is ineffective

Too bad.
Heard Uzo-Uwani people are mainly farmers. How will food stuff be cheap when farmers security are not guaranteed. Blame should be directed to the state governor. State Governors have a big say on things like this and shouldn't pretend.

ESN is in this community before. It's the villagers that will be giving their location to the government. Thereby putting ESN in constant danger. Now ESN have leave, Fulani herdsman now have upper hand over them.

Those who have a mental evaluation of this doomsday are very few and far between. Probably 1 in a thousand, with the most prominent : the likes of Nnamdi Kanu -- an oustandingly enlightened individual. The rest are just chaff: eating, hustling, looking for sex, looking to japa, waiting for rapture, sleeping in ile-kewu, playing bet9ja, reading novels, doing vigils, doing civil service, going to parties, doing show biz etc.
