That's the handywork of commercial banks. undecided

They're just jealous of these digital microfinace banks. Particularly, the Opay. The last time I checked, Opay's market cap. dey rob shoulders with Zenith bank. grin

Na cashless policy of last year announced these banks. I can't really remember when last I went to bank n que to make transactions.

For security reasons, if you're using digital bank, make sure the SIM you used registering it is not the one you slot in your fone and be moving upanda with it. The SIM I used to open my own is always at home in case if someone stills my phone and want to reset the password, he wouldn't get the OTP massage.

No... Rather lock your sim. Set it such that once your phone is switched on, you need to unlock the sim first. Use a unique pin.

It can but it will be difficult... I say this because for instance, you can't have two savings accounts in one bank using your BVN, but for Kuda, opay, fairmoney and palmpay you can comfortably have as many accounts as you want provided you have different phone numbers. With this you can actually launder money.. And the level of monitoring of their activities is very poor
.

No sir, you can't have more than 3 account currently with opay using your BVN or NIN.

So commercial bank cant be used for the above accusations abi? Let them continue deceiving themselves.

Commercial banks can be used but it's easier to open an account with the fintechs because most of them do not do thorough KYC on their customers

It is jealous nah because you're on the payroll of a conventional bank.

I detest Nigerian banks, especially, first bank.
This is the problem you guys have on nairaland. You make assumptions on what you know not. If there's a serious glitch/hack on the system, where would you prefer your money rather be.

Hopeless people. So, it's no longer binance or abokifx or bdc operators? It's now the digital banks? Do you know the business impact of this disruption to their operations? I have always maintained that this country can kill any business venture overnight without even batting an eyelid.

This is the work of politicians that own commercial physical banks. They're jealous because Nigerians trust all these online banks than the useless commercial Banks we have in the country. They want to crumble these lifesaving online Banks.

What is the probability of guessing the right pin in 3 attempts? 4 digits means 10,000 possible PIN outcomes.
Sim cards are locked after 3 wrong attempts.

Well I know someone whose SIM was successfully opened by scammers even though it had a sim lock password activated!

When you use easy number combinations, a scammer can guess. That's why people should not use numbers connected to their age, etc as PIN.
