In a bold display of unity and determination, Nigerian youths from the North Central region, operating under the banner of The North Central Progressive Voice, converged in Lafia, the capital of Nassarawa State, to voice their grievances against what they perceive as an abuse of the rule of law by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The group, which includes both youths and women representing various communities across the North Central states, called for immediate intervention from President Bola Tinubu concerning the recent actions of the EFCC towards former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello, and other individuals.

During a world press conference held on Tuesday, the 30th of April, 2024, at the Nassarawa State capital, the group's spokesperson, Bar. Blessing, passionately addressed the media, denouncing the EFCC's raid on Alhaji Yahaya Bello's residence in Abuja. Urging President Tinubu to rein in the EFCC, Bar. Blessing emphasized the importance of upholding the rule of law and preventing any potential national embarrassment stemming from the ongoing saga.

In addition to the press conference, The North Central Progressive Voice penned an open letter to President Tinubu, appealing for his swift intervention in the matter. The group highlighted the urgency of the situation, emphasizing the need for a resolution to prevent further escalation.

Taking proactive steps to ensure their message reaches the highest echelons of power, representatives of the group delivered the open letter to the Emir of Lafia and Chairman of the Nassarawa State Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness Hon. Justice Sidi Bage 1. JSC (Rtd.), with the intention of forwarding it to President Bola Tinubu.

Undeterred by the challenges ahead, the group embarked on a solidarity walk through the major streets of Lafia, Nassarawa State, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to their cause. Their message echoed loudly as they insisted that they would not rest until President Tinubu intervenes, demanding that the EFCC adhere to the principles of the rule of law in the ongoing dispute with Alhaji Yahaya Bello.

As the nation watches closely, the actions of The North Central Progressive Voice serve as a reminder of the power of grassroots movements and the importance of safeguarding democratic principles in Nigeria.

Why not generate one fake link to make your misinformation looks like real? Are you sure those youths are not partner in crime with Yaya Bello? EFCC will catch all of them including fake carrier like you. Whatever you collected from Yaya, you better return your own to EFCC before reaching your house.

Why can't Yaya Bello do like Fayose just to clear himself? Running means he is confirming he is guilty already. We have seen people that EFCC and court free after finding out they are not guilty and we have seen those that reported themselves but never returned back home except prison. He should be bold if his hands are clean. It is people that raised petition against him, EFCC only invite him to clear himself. For how long will he run?

We can choose to keep deceiving ourselves, but one thing is certain - there's no part of this country where this madness cannot happen.

If Nigeria is a country where people genuinely have good values, we would never have a shithole country like this. Nigerians hide their true identity under religion.
