BAT is performing poorly. Very poorly.

His refusal to appoint a minister of petroleum (just like his predecessor, Buhari) will prove costly.

A federal minister has several duties - coordination with directors, oversight of ministry functions and projects, liaison with lawmakers, dealing with regulators etc. Tinubu simply cannot combine these functions effectively with his duties as head of state. Does the law even permit this?

Nigerians shouted themselves hoarse on this very matter during the Buhari years but Buhari refused to listen until he and his administration faded into nothingness. His successor is toeing the same line.

Nigerians can see firsthand the results of their failure to elect the right representatives who'll do the hard work of strengthing our weak and corroded institutions. Lawmakers over the last 8 years failed to hold Buhari to account as petroleum minister and this assembly will also fail to hold the current petroleum minister accountable.
