This is a crimnal case against the state not against two individuals something that can be settled. The law is clear and the evidence are clear.

The case is a criminal case and the offense is not against a person but the Federal Government. So the "out of court settlement" only refers to them working out a plea bargain between EFCC and the accused so there won't be need for long trial. The defendant may end up getting a suspended sentence or a more lenient sentence like a fine of 50K which is the minimum punishment recommended by law. To expect that he will walk free with zero punishment is a tall dream.

They will still have to bring the teens of settlement back to the Court for the Judge to agree and adopt.
