300 Student nurses in 400 level are facing denial by the University which admitted them. Gov Hope Uzodinma had since refused to go for accreditation for Imo state University teaching hospital Orlu where the students nurses are based. It's part of Uzodinma government's now unhidden policy to send Orlu many decades backward. Uzodinma sees political foes in Orlu Municipal LGA where the state university teaching hospital is located.

The 400 Level rusticated students sought assistance and intervention to address what they perceive as an unjust decision by the university's management. They urged the government to investigate the matter thoroughly and ensure that their rights as students are upheld.

The protest highlights the frustration and anxiety faced by the affected nursing students, who find themselves in jeopardy of being denied the opportunity to complete their studies and pursue their chosen careers. It underscores broader concerns about transparency and fairness in admission processes within Nigerian universities, as well as the need for robust mechanisms to protect the rights of students and prevent arbitrary actions by academic institutions.

National Assemly should amend the constitution and make Abuja the de facto capital of Imo under Uzodinma.
