Obviously you don't know that those financial instrument are regularly used by all government across the globe to raise funds to finance their budget pending when they get revenue from their various sources of income. Interestingly, the journalist know the truth but anytime they want to take statistics of people like you in our midst, they drop updates like this and the moment they see your comment, they know where you belong.

Why are u abusing him? Je may not be wrong. Borrowing not a bad thing for as much as they use it in doing something good. That amount being borrowed by the fg is a way to mop up cash in circulation and that is what is partly responsible for the appreciation of the naira.
Sometimes, I wonder the kind of brain that is in APC supporters head.
Appreciation of Naira how?
How much was dollars to Naira before Tinubu took over?
Atleast, if you want to defend nonsense, defend it with sense.

11 trillion naira loan, if Nigeria cannot pay they will print money to pay the loan. Yet some people are applauding this news just because their beloved devil in the skin of man is the president. if you're among this category of people, believe me your coming generations will lay heavy curses on you through out their life time, because they will be part of the people that will suffer from your irrational thinking. grin

The curious case of Nigerian.

Towards the end of Buhari’s tenure, taxes were raised, banks extorted customers by claiming to recover certain unremitted charges.

New naira notes were printed with the expectation of destroying old notes… it’s unimaginable how much naira is in circulation.

Subsidy was removed (presumably)

Naira was floated

Loans were secured

Oil prices are up

Yet the economy sinks further. Unemployment, inflation, poverty is more rife than ever.

This government should enjoy their share of the national cake. It will be someone else’s turn in 3 or 7 years. And from the current trend the next guy is always a bigger evil.

What is saddening is that where we call home is now a shadow of itself.
It’s amusing how nairaland’s self acclaimed economists believe that seasoned economists in big corporations lack foresight. They can’t see the big plans the President is making… that’s laughable… while Dubai was still a drawing foreign investments were made. Our economic blueprint is hogwash.

The government consistently shows local and foreign investors that it cares less about stakeholders engagement.
