In just a month, many smart people have because millionaires thanks to the CBN. While some of you where busy praising the government for strengthening the Naira and others were criticizing, the wise ones were buying up cheap dollar.
They understood that the Naira was going to ultimately fall.
The moral of the story: The Nigerian economy has failed. Government is not capable of making it work so find a way to make it work for yourself and family.
For those of us against the Tinubu government, complaining on Nairaland will not save us. And for the pro Tinubu people, defending the government on Nairaland will not put food on your table.
Try to make sense out of this senseless economy.

But you never stop wailing on Nairaland. God ignores the prayers of the wicked.

If you bought dollar just 2 weeks ago, by now you will be cashing out. It's not yet late, Naira is not done falling.

It is a two way thing. The millions left one hand and ended up in another.

Okponu.
Some also bought when ₦ was 1700 and even 1900 believing it would get to at least 2k within a month and more with more patience.
Those people were also waiting to reap at least ₦100m profit, but they are gnashing their teeth now, only to income massive losses when the ₦ appreciated.
Any sensible person will know currency trading is a 50-50 and there is a line that should be drawn,i.e,even if one hates and detests Tinubu and even if he is the devil himself, anything he does to boost the ₦ will be welcome and those jubilating that the ₦ is depreciating are nothing but scumbergs.
You can oppose him for every other thing but being happy about the ₦ woes so you can profit from it does not differentiate you from the man you accuse of all things evil and corrupt because you too are!

No one is Happy for naira woes, what I see is that people are just using it to taunt the government and not that they are happy. Who is Happ to buy groceries at exorbitant prices? None, everyone is a looser in this game, just a minority fee that is less than 0.1 percent profit from naira woes.

I support Tinubu but I know this politicians are not serious about solving the depreciating problem of the Naira.

When they are ready no living soul will keep dollars as an asset.

A. All dollar cash exchange must be banned totally in every ramifications, nobody deals in dollar within Nigeria, only politicians do so when they are serious that will be the first rule to implement.

B. Deadline of just about maximum of a week to all those holding dollar in cash to have it deposited. Once the dead line elapse dollar should be declared a contraband that no bank can accept or when accepted the govt charge 50% of the value of the deposit of every 10K n below. Any transactions above 10K the govt charges 75%.

C. Only dollars legitimately earned from abroad should be tolerated n should never be withdrawable as cash in Nigeria. It stays in your account with banks only able to pay Naira equalvalent if you desire withdrawal.

D. PTA BTA should be on card n only accessible from departing airports.

E. Tuition n foriegn business payment should all be via wire direct to source with adequate monitoring to ensure compliance so the system is not bypassed.

If Tinubu government does just the above n dollar do not fall below ₦500 within a week then there is a spiritual connotation to ₦/$ wahala.
