Deportation of some Osun indigenes shouldn't be a surprise to anyone because the reason they were deported was obvious; Lagos government didn't feel their presence added value to the state. What I want to talk about is some facts why Lagos State isn't for the extremely poor:
1. Lagos Government is more interested in building a mega city than poverty alleviation
2. Lagos Government is not a fan of hawkers and Street traders
3. Housing in Lagos can be quite expensive
4. From the trending #Tinubuschoolseries, you can see public school education in Lagos isn't perfect
5. Agberos might be everywhere, but they are much in Lagos indicating unchecked poverty levels
6. Lagos slums hardly receive government attention to improve their living conditions
7. Evictions of poor people from their shanty homes is just another working day for Lagos Government officials. Example from a 2020 article from BBC news: "And earlier this year, an estimated 10,000 people were given an hour to pack up their things before being asked to leave the beachfront community of Tarkwa Bay, a popular weekend destination for Lagosians"

Most of your so call Lagos Big men went to the United States starting from ground zero and the country created opportunities for them to achieve their dreams ...so also Lagos should be a land of opportunities not a land of selective discrimination ... In the President's word "Let the Poor Breath" because it's a temporary situation.
