Taxation is an investment. We have 90m Nigerians who are not doing anything. The government first has to invest. How? By putting money in SMEs. In a bank, you cannot withdraw without paying in. Nigeria needs to invest in its people, after which they’d pay back (via taxes). -PO

Peter Obi is very intelligent! Unlike some people that have put more NIGERIANs into poverty and yet want to tax the air they breathe.

It makes sense, but government to has started investing and the rewards reaped by Nigerians, should be taxed.

That being said, a lot of Nigerians are being overlooked by the government when it comes to tax.

Portable bough a house in Lekki, are the tax authorities paying attention to that transaction to tax the right party between seller and buyer or both?

By putting money in SMEs.

Okay, if we don't want the government to borrow unnecessarily, where do Peter Obi expect to get the funds to put into SMEs? Government already started with something like the recent N50k payment

The said tax in Nigeria which is amongst the lowest in Africa, how many Nigerians are paying it?

What's the % of people that would be affected with the 0.005% increase?

The increments in cyber security was approved 6 years ago but never implemented

Bro, how many Nigerians are paying tax? With this new increments, how many Nigerians would be affected?

Some of those who have been arguing against it can't even remember the last time they operate their bank accounts

Invest in people first before the people can be responsible in their social and constitutional obligations to the govt. Not the government of today fleecing the people while asking them to endure. Demons administering a nation.

BATeria carrier, he has said it before. Block the avenues your god made for stealing. What did your darling daddy achieve with the ones he borrowed?

Thank GOD Almighty that your god exposed Buhari.

The ones stolen in the name of air Nigeria will do. The ones stolen in the name of feeding school children who were in their homes during COVID-19 lockdown will do. The ones stolen during Buhari's tenure will do. The ones stolen in the ministry of humanitarian affairs will do. The ones they are stealing under your god's regime now will do.

Shamelessness at its finest.

portable is just one out of the few handful that can buy a house presently, do you know how many millions of Nigerians that could barely eat right now,do you put into consideration the economic effect this taxation is going to have on people that are not portable, it's hard for govt to effect 100k minimum wage, but they won't look back to widen the tax net, is this how the high way to fraud is going to be financed

No tangible account of what the subsidy removed was used for, instead they shared it among themselves and locked up, Nigerians are getting poorer by the day, I stead of the govt to invest in the people like 'BITTER(truth) OBI advised, they would rather take more from poor Nigerians

*instead of SUVs for first lady, invest the money in SMEs.
*Instead of SUV for NASS, invest the money in SMEs.
*instead of flying climate baddies and Smugglers to COP 28 in Dubai, invest the money in SMEs
*instead of relooting Abacha's loot, invest the monies in SMEs.
* instead of relooting all funds recovered by EFCC, invest those monies in SMEs.
* money saved from pms subsidy removal, invest that in SMEs.
* money saved from removal of subsidy in education, channels those monies to SMEs.
* money saved from floating of naira can also be invested in SMEs.
*instead of spending an equivalent of 40% of lagos GDP on coastal high way, invest 50% of that on SMEs.

I can go on and on but as usual BAT=Bring Additional Tax never disappoints with failure

That’s the reason I am rooting for him. The nations our leaders go to kneel down for loans do not export crude but they simply invest in their people and the multiplier effect on the economy creates a lot of , jobs, opportunities, lots of liquid cash you can easily tax to build your external reserves , pay off some of your debts and have a stronger currency and economy. The higher you invest in the people the bigger the tax base. I support Obi because he implemented more tan 80% of the ANIDS manifesto he campaigned with to become governor
