0:3 means, away had 3 goals ahead as football starts,if it ends at 2:3,away is a winner, but if it ends at 3:3,it means draw nd u loose, 3:0 means home had 3goals already as football starts

There are 2 major types of handicaps. European and Asian. In European handicaps, there are rooms for draws. And draws in most cases result in a loss of your bets. And the handicaps are mainly in whole numbers like +2, +1, etc.

While that of Asian there are no draws, there are either push/refund, half win/half lose, win or lose, and the handicaps can be in fractions like 0.75, 2, 2.25, 2.5, etc. European handicaps are very common among Nigerian bookies.

Handicap simply means minusing goals from a team when the match has not started yet.

In European handicap,,
Manchester city 1.20 - 7.00 Burnley fixture.

You awarded Burnley 2 goals handicap before the match kickkoff.Mancity is losing by 2 goals to Burnley and has to score 3 goals before they are declared as the winner.
If the match ended in 2-2 or 1-2,mancity lost the game.

In Asian handicap;
The handicap market start with -0.5,-1.5...or 0.5,1.5,etc.

Manchester city 1.20 - 7.00 Burnley.Mancity,-1.5 handicap,you have deducted 2 goals from mancity against Burnley.Now,Burnley is leading by 2 goals.Mancity needs to score 3 goals to make the scoreline 3-2.

Then why not just play home under 2.5? they sound analogous to me. Is there any peculiar difference?

Home under 2.5 = Home MUST not score 3goals after the Match...Na Must !

Is different from

0:3 = Away already leading by 3goals Before The Match Thus Home MUST not Equalise Nor Lead After The Match If not Ticket Cut!
