Letter From The Moderator - Please Read by Fayimora(m): 2:26am On Nov 22, 2011
Hey guys,
As some of you must have noticed, I do not come here(NairaLand) as often as I used to during the summer. This is because I am currently faced with multiple projects(academic, personal and paid) with close deadlines. However, this has not stopped me from visiting this forum. I try my best to check it out every now and then.

I have just cleaned up this thread(at least for the main time) and would like to employ you guys to help me out on this. Because I am unable to visit this forum regularly, it has become really difficult to clean up. I have to spend hours trying to read threads and clean them up, delete useless threads and so on. Am sure you guys must have been irritated with all those bullshit. To speed up the clean up, it would be nice if you guys can make use of the "report to moderator" link. That way I dont have to read threads and spend minutes deciding. I can just focus on the ones causing trouble.

You do not have to do it if you dont want to. However, we would all enjoy a spam free forum if we all use that link anytime we see "an out of place" thread or post.

Thanks a lot
Fayimora

Oga Fayimora and co
Happy new year.

The year may be new but the, old habits (banning, post deleting, thread deleting, etc) will continue to live on.
Pray, what crime have I committed in the thread :

https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-798635.0.html

that it has to be locked?

Can't the owner of a a thread be notified of an impending action to be taken by the mods before it is taken? Must we behave like our leaders who implement policies without prior warning? And yet we believe that we will make an impact when and if we rise to positions of leadership in ay field we find ourselves in the future?

So please tell me why was my thread locked? ! !
Re: Letter From The Moderator - Please Read by Fayimora(m): 6:10pm On Jan 05, 2012
Sorry I have no clue why your thread is locked. I have unlocked it now!

You na correct man! grin
See rapid response to problem and solution found!

One man said Obama had to be 50% white to win the election and that no 100% percent black man would have won that election, especially the debate, where McCain was asking Obama questions that would have annoyed a regular black man. He said the 50% black man in Obama  wanted to tell McCain to "Shut the Hell Up!" but that was when the 50% white man in him told the 50% black man, "Go back! We are near the finish line, don't mess it up now!"

So that place you are living has given you a bit of 30% white man with which you run this programming board and every one can see the result! I believe it is that other 100 + 10% black man running this board that knows why the thread was locked! angry I did not mention names of anybody o, before they re-re-reban me! lipsrsealed

Thanks man!

Reply from the 110% proud black man is that your thread was locked because you had two identical threads on the same issue and its forum policy to lock such threads. If Fayimora decides to bend that rule for you, its because he's interested in keeping "our customers" happy :-).

Its also not a good idea to sow discord.

There's such a thing as division of labour. Fayimora handles mostly the community and I tackle the spammers/marketers and followup gurus who can help people on the site (2buff, kobojunkie, beaf, *dhtml and for hardware (you)).

Emancipate thy mind bro and also expect me to lock any dual posted threads in future.

@moderator, can you please create a thread where the programmers on here can include information on any and all web services/APIS that they know of or are involved in the creation of. This is so those of us looking for data or in need of information on what exists can get a good idea of what is available out there for use.
