We all know that most of us that have formal education don't like to venture much and upon all the formal education, there's no much wisdom.

You can't compare the performance of a graduate to that of an undergraduate.

The Number Four position in our beloved nation is very important and should be occupied by a more competent individual. The part of the constitution that allows non-graduates to contest for political office should be scrapped with immediate effect. Nigeria needs to move foward. We need Pat Utomi's not Pat Etteh's.

You keep forgetting that if Bill Gates lived in a society where there were no opportunities for non-graduates, he would have died without contributing a thing to the world of IT.

Please, separate Etteh's corruption from the fact that she has a diploma in Law. In fact, a diploma in Law gives her better preparation as a Lawmaker that all the Engineers and ex-Civil Servants we have there.

Please, it is not a diploma certificate that will make someone steal N628 million. Let's get to the real root of the matter.

Degrees have nothing to do with scruples. Some of the armed robbers we have today are second degree holders. Fmr governor of Enugu state, south-eastern Nigeria was a U.S based medical practioner, yet he looted the state's treasury as if there were no tomorrow, likewise his counterpart in Rivers state, in the south-south. Frm gov of Anambra state Dr. Chinwoke Mbadinuju has a Phd in law, yet his leadership took the state back to zero piont.

What I'm saying in essence is that, cupidity or the opposite of it has nothing to do with formal education.

There is no place that it is written that to be in politics you have to have even a college degree to succeed. I believe at least 2 of the great presidents of America were not even college educated men. Check it.

Agreed!  That is not the issue here.  The issue is that she lied about her academic qualifications.  That character of lying and stealing has followed her into an official position with sensitive responsibilities.  How can she be trusted? People who with the least educational portfolio like my grandmother in the village have some degree of integrity intact.  But I guess in Nigeria, this is not too important. 

Are we surprised now that she is still lying and stealing? We have what we asked for I think.

iykrion, i quite agree with u, education does notbreally mean anything when we are talking of Honesty and good management, but Madam Speaker as a crook villiage woman from Osun-State has no exposure and the post of a speaker, no 3 citizen is bigger than her to manage.
