Monica Wins MTN Project Fame season six (4)
The ten weeks long season six of the MTN project fame came to an end today with Monica succeeding Chidinma as the latest winner of the Music Talent show. The reality show which started with the sixteen contestants passing through rigorous voice trainings and lessons from Silva, Ige and the “stern looking” Ben Ogbewi continued to reduce with each weeks eviction show to the six final contestants were unveiled. And it was Monica, Ese, Ethel, Yvonne, Ruth and the last man standing Roy.
The final show began with the unveiling of the original sixteen (16) contestants who came out and took a bow before the audience. After that the presenter had to announce the presence of Wizkid. Who stepped on the show and did what he knew how to do well, thrilling the crowds to some of his great hits.
After the commercial break the contestants came once more on the stage to sing one of their best songs on the project fame stage. Ruth was the first to perform followed by Roy, Ethel, Ese, Yvonne, Monica.
The last year’s winner Chidinma was next to step on stage to perform once more on the stage that brought her fame and fortune.
After her performance the six contestants come on the stage in turns to perform their own music composition.
Then came the moment of reckoning; the moment all have been waiting for as the winner was announced. Roy was the first runner up, Ese the second and the Ethel the third runner up. The winner goes home with 2.5 million naira a jeep and a recording contract. Thumbs up to her.

its season 4 not 6.she actually won it the day she sang patra's song walkerman.still think season 3 was far more interesting.my opinion though.:/

d fact remain dat a non nigerian can not win d any of dis reality show. D show is auditioned in naija, most of d judges nigerian, d presenters nigerian, guest musicians Nigerian . D first edition d Ghanian guy dservd d award (forgot his name) like wise d 2nd edition d ghanian guy dat came 2nd shld ve been d winner, d 3rd no doubt Chidinma dserves it and d 4th yvonne shld ve been d winner thou Monica trilled me wit d song"only me" by 2face.

watching the show,Monica certainly was the best in my opinion,she's got the ssssswag

Monica deserved it! Mtn project fame is always on point. They give it to who truely deserves it, unlike the others. Sad for ivonne and ruth though! Congrats to Roy,Ese and Ethel!

i feel Ruth was cheated and Roy " anointed oil" the father gave him finally worked cos the guy no deserve to win anytin,

I don't know if project fame is crap or not, all I know is that Monica deserve it. I really feel for Yvonne and Ruth, they really deserve to win something even though Ruth was not consistent.

her self-composed song was just rubbish, especially with the flat lyrics.

yvonne should have been among the 1st four, probably given Ethel's position, at worst; she has a unique voice and attitude to it.

Monica, way to go gal, u had it in you & u didnt let me down. Ese was ever so confident, shes a diva on her own. Roy? No comment plz, Ruth? Sheer arrogance from d onset, gud voice bt i was not a fan at all. Yvonne baby, it took her a long while to come out of her shell & it was late wen she did cos Monica already had d crowd but shes d one the most unique voice n can twist n play wt it whatever way she wants. I hope producer like Ty mix can help her record that her wonderful composition. That song has soul n totally knocked me off ma chair d 1st time she sang it. Thank u all, atleast we still got ppl who can sing n be greatly enjoyed unlike d so called recording artists who karaoke their own song cos their voice have bn altered over n again in the studio, mtsheeewww!

Well, the only option left for Yvonne n Ruth now is for them to drop their singles that will hit the market. They already have the platform.

I did not follow up on this year's PF but I was opportuned to watch Monica's rendition of only me and I was like *wow* cos she obviously killed that song.Nigeria has definitely got talent.

i followed it from d first day. Monica deservd d price. she was never on probation once. she alwys performd well. she hd a powerful voice and her stage performance ws wonderful

Yvonne has a good voice but confidence level, very low. her eyes wonders a lot like shes lookin 4 something, shes nervous and she doesnt kno how 2 use d stage

Ese ws awesome bt sometimes dint live up 2 expectatn bt her voice is strong.

Roy hs a soft n sultry voice bt not that strong. bt as d only guy he probably got a lot of votes

ruth is very very good too but with too much dramatics.

Ethel i think got a price cos she is a Ghanaian and cldnt be left out.

Nicholas is from Liberia and sure deserved to win. That he came 1st runner up shows that Naija peeps appreciate good talent. I guess Mike's swag and people's skill gave him the prize. Yvonne though with a unique voice wasn't a show stopper in all genre of music like Monica.
