Hello i want to know the main cultural background for nigeria and wether u understand arabic or not and the cause of this frequent bad news related to religious conflicts.

No, an average Nigerian does not speak, write or understand Arabic.

Forgive my ignorance but where is "Alex" ?

Muslims,as with muslims all over the world recite the Qu'ran in Arabic though there are English translated versions.

What language do you speak in your place?We are blessed with atleast 15 different indigenous lingos with Igbo,Hausa and Yoruba as the dominant ones.
