If you are a regular user of this forum, you would have noticed some low life individuals parading as the drowning president - 'Good'luck Jonathan and fuel subsidy removal supporters.
Yes, we knew beaf (the full time special adviser to Mr. President on Nairaland) and have been able to contain him on the forum as a jerk but where these folks come from I don't know (maybe they are the almajiris of the niger delta)
They are quick to comment on anti- GEJ and fuel subsidy hike posts and go about attacking the posters; telling us how an internationally acclaimed failure is Nigeria's messaiah.
They dont state any points, they only talk about future, sentiments and 'thank you Mr. President', or worse, tell us how a strike and protest that has shut down Nigeria is a failure.
Its obvious these folks were recruited by beaf when he lost grip of the forum.
Fellow Nigerians, ignore these low life agents who are not even well paid (their colleagues that went to NLC secretariat got only N1000) and lets continue with intelligent deliberations on this forum. Dont enter into argurments with them. They will soon fizzle out like their master said of Boko Haram.

@OP:
You think everyone is a clone like you?
Some of us have been lurking on this board and have refraind from posting given the thread topics and the directions they eventually head i.e. pointless. In your opinion everyone outside government or not benefiting from government should support your course.
I am neither in government or a directly or indirectly benefiting from this administration.

Have you asked what the political leanings of most posters or members are on this board? Or is your political considerations and classifications as crude as the rest of the majority of Nigerians i.e. drawn mainly around ethnic, tribal and religious grounds.

My descion in support of the subsidy removal are both economical in consideration as well political.

I am economical given the finite nature of our crude oil resource and the numerous alternatives that can be derived from them other than fueling jallopies. I am political about it because obviously sooner or later true federalism will define our collective unity and in which case when the oil resource in the Niger-Delta inevitably dries up will any part of the country assist the people of the Niger-Delta tomorrow when for years the have turned a blind eye to their course for development? I don't think so.

You have no right to generalize or assume that since I and others are in opposition to your struggle, we must be  paid agents.

@ OP,we must not give up!All it takes for evil to thrive is for good people to keep quiet!!We actually underestimated them, they are few but they open different accounts with different user names and create a false followership! We completely underestimated the extent these tiny minority of evil people have held on to the country.Like past wars between evil and good, good shall triumph, the God of the people will defeat the people who want to kill Nigerians. We knew what they did during Abacha's time, they did more than this, yet they failed!

subsidy removal has failed.Nobody can force it down our throat. For once, they can not do bravado! In the next few days if he doesnot restore the subsidy, the avoidable break down of law and order by suffering nigerians will bring down his govt.

for every occupier I have chanced to discuss with they all agree on one thing that the fuel subsidy removal does make economic sense but all feel that government should do something to alleviate the situation. Even all the respondents against the removal during the town hall meeting shared this argument during their debate. What NLC should have done as a reasonable body and given the general insecurity situation in the country was to negotiate with government and meet at a middle ground.
Expect infiltrations especially in the north by BH elements . In the souththe generally anarchy will make it seemingly easier to carryout a bomb blast to which conspiracy theorist will point the accussing finger at the government further escalating anarchy and government mistrust.

Why do I know this.? i AM A SECURITY ANALYST AND CONSULTANT. i AM TRAINED TO IMAGINE THE WORST CASE SCENARIO AND CURRENTLY I AM HAVING NIGHTMARES.

inasmuch as some disagree, its always good to have opposing views, that is the beauty of democracy.

My friend, there is a difference between having an opposing view and being paid to have an opposing view. The monitization of democracy in Nigeria is why the country will never grow. The clueless president needs more money to continue the monitization.

Re: Jonathan Goons Infiltrate Nairaland by Tabon: 11:40am On Jan 10, 2012
GEJ or agents didnt give any money to anybody. Most of us have seen the reality and long term benefit of subsidy removal. Now do you know that most of filling stations in our neighboring countries dont have fuel because there is no cheap fuel from nigeria? Do u know that most of d money from excess crude was used to pay few individuals as subsidy? Do u know that nigeria fuel is d cheapest compare to cameroon,Ghana, niger, burkina faso and Togo etc so it become a good business to get from nigeria and make good profit in their countries?thereby encouraging bunkering and smuggling? Do u know that this activity has affected our consumption volume and hence increased the money for subside from 240bn to 1.3tn? Why waste our resources to d benefit of other countries?GEJ is a Hero for taking that bold step. May God continue to guide, direct and grant him wisdom to deal with those unpatrotic and selfish nigerians.
Re: Jonathan Goons Infiltrate Nairaland by friedrice1: 12:21pm On Jan 10, 2012
^^ the earlier you stick your tougue out of GEj's anus, the better for you. So your masters' incompetence and failure to fight
corruption is the reason for pouring out his onslaught on Nigerians in the name of Fuel Subsidy removal.
Re: Jonathan Goons Infiltrate Nairaland by Pukkah: 12:30pm On Jan 10, 2012
Even when Saddam was being licked by Operation Desert Storm, he boasted that he was fighting the mother of all wars.

Even when Hitler was being fried, Goebbels, his propagandist, continued to regale the people with false stories of victory.

Once again, I advise Mr Jonathan to handle this issue wisely and carefully. Should this sensitive matter go awry, all these goons or whatever you called them will abandon him to his fate. For now his fate is still in his hands.
Re: Jonathan Goons Infiltrate Nairaland by Nobody: 12:36pm On Jan 10, 2012
Why must everyone go one way and I think there is freedom of speech in this country! If you dont support subsidy removal then some other people do! I for one do support the removal and I am not even a Federal employee
Re: Jonathan Goons Infiltrate Nairaland by MrGlobe(m): 4:36pm On Jan 10, 2012
The only reason one can support the fuel subsidy removal without being paid or being a govt agent is if the person is mad.

Typical Nigerian, why am I not surprised? It's now a crime of humanity because I do not share same view with you? embarassed embarassed embarassed, apparently, it can also be said whoever who supports NLC/TUC in their strike are either paid by the Oil companies of DOOM or simply MAD. shocked shocked shocked

BTW, I'm in FULL SUPPORT of the subsidy, however, I endorse a gradual approach NOT NOW, For people who don't like my position can HANG, cheesy cheesy cheesy

^Idiot! How do I know you were not paid to oppose the fuel subsidy removal. People like you make good sycophants being incapable of independent thought and therefore assuming that those who espouse a view that opposes yours must have been bought. Indirectly you tell us that you are a man who can be bought. Go ahead, name your price.

It's a free world and every one is exercising his or democratic right to express an opinion. If you can't live with that. . .go an drink unsubsidized petrol.

well you have not made any point (I never expected you to, either) and secondly, I dont engage in a conversation with low life govt slaves like you.
I continue to maintain that anybody who supports subsidy removal at this time is either paid to do so, a govt agent or MAD!!
Re: Jonathan Goons Infiltrate Nairaland by Nobody: 8:13pm On Jan 10, 2012
@Mr Globe,
Have you weigh the pros and cons of the situation in the country vis avis corruption in the oil sector and the grinding poverty and what the future portends for the youths and coming generations?

So you believe its better for few to live a good life at the expense of the majority?

And you saying its better that nigeria remains an import driven country instead of a producing and exporting nation?

What will become of nigeria if we keep paying subsidy to a few to a tune of trillions # yearly?
Re: Jonathan Goons Infiltrate Nairaland by PapaBrowne(m): 8:19pm On Jan 10, 2012
Nonsense!!
Because you think subsidy removal is bad, you think everybody thinks likewise. One tenet of intelligence is capacity for openmindedness.
If there is anything I have noticed on the fuel subsidy debates, those in support of subsidy removal tend to be more intelligent than those against.

FYI there is a 25% of the population that are in support of the removal of subsidy. 25% FYI is 40 million Nigerians.

A poll is currently running and the results are below.

Re: Jonathan Goons Infiltrate Nairaland by muyoto: 8:58pm On Jan 10, 2012
Its not all those involved in the protest that oppose the removal of fuel subsidy (being one, I should know). Most of us agree the subsidy encouraged corruption, benefited an esoteric ''cabal'', and really made no meaningful impact on the common man.

Indeed, only an enemy of Nigeria would support the continuation of the subsidy ad infinitum.

The grouse, as I'm aware, has to do with the palpable--and indeed justifiable--skepticism regarding the commitment of this present administration to ensure a judicious utilization of the funds touted be saved from the subsidy.

The Nation editorial (09/01/2012) captured neatly:

It would have been easy to convince Nigerians with records of his achievements on roads and other national challenges if he had done tangible things before now. As a matter of fact, those are what should be speaking for him today, instead of trying to labour in vain to convince a people who have made up their minds as to how far they know he can deliver democratic dividend. To the extent that the President is just waking up to these realities, Nigerians should be wary of his promises. He has no such antecedent to make us entrust him with such spectacular performance that he is promising.
