Please can anyone help me with full details about cocoa business in Nigeria and how much I can invest into it.

To help you get answers, i would advice you are more specific . . .
Are you planning to invest as a middleman, buy from the farmer and sell to the exporter?
Do you wanna have your own plantation?
Which are of the investment are you looking into?

I think you need upto 500k to start dat biz. It'z capital intensive, but if you can get acquinted with farmers and collect the products and sell to exporter and later pay them back. Dat is if they trust you. Gud luck!

I think my best advice would be that you should get the buyers ready (exporter), make sure you are trusted and they are willing to do business with you.
Once you have that, you could talk to the farmers and afterwards, you would be able to know how much you would need for the business, and the reason is cos, you will be able to know the capability of the exporter and how long you would have to tie your money down.

My father is a produce ( Cocoa , palm kernel , coffee etc.) buyer. He buys from neighbouring countries and distributes to companies and other exporters.
The capital needed for thus business depends on the price of a particular season or year of business, also to be considered is the quality of the crop, quantity required, and inflation.
#500,000 as someone suggests earlier is even too much, with any amount you can start your business. Mind you the more the capital , the more the profit.
All you need is info from experts.
