my nokia E6 gets too hot and the battery goes off too quick so i took it to nokia care here in Abuja and it took 2wks but its stil thesame , Gettin too hot and runnin down battery just used it for a day !

the Nokia Care thread is among the first few threads in this section. btw me thinks its best u take it bk to da office for replacement.

i'm 80% sure ur phone has no fault.this is how i stopped my e72 from getting hot.
1.switch from when 3g to 2g while not browsing or browsing without downloading.i prefer downloading large files only when my phone is connected to power source.
2.switch wlan scanning off
3.reduce ur phone brightness to maybe the lowest
4.close all apps that you are not using
Follow the steps and tell me if it works.

one more thing,get a rubber pack for ur phone as it also helps to reduce the temperature.

tanx ik but its nt workin as it stil hot even witout being on net , i hav even stoped downloadin tins since , everytin i need i download to my E63 , tanx all same guess i hav to keep my fingers crossed in dis .i actually tot dis is a forum were we can talk to nokia customer care

^ That your phone is bad. D only solution is to take it to NOKIA care or GSM engineer for repair. Even then, the chance of repairing a phone with dat problem; d chance will be slim.

Hi,d nokia e6 is d smart phone,u really nid 2 minimize applicatn u open down on ur phone,hope u don't use ur wireless lan 24hrs cos dats an issue too,always make sure u active ur power Saving mode,wen operatin ur phone if u observe dat its hot stop press & chill 4 awhile,cos some mobile users wil jst keep pressin d phone

i use E6, at first it get hotter than anythin electronic, i took my time to study it, i even took it to nokia store for repair but i discovrd they dont kn whats wrong with it, then i took all these steps and my E6 work well and dosnt get hot excessivly.
Download battery lite from ovi store(15 days trial)
durin the day adjust by pickin the option batry max, and batry improve at night. U can customise what runs on ur phone with this app.
E6 is an internet phone, dont accept direct internt acess to some of ur app.e.g CNN, Ajazera etc.
If is hot usin a sim try other network, stick to ovi store for ur app, dont try to upgrade to symbian belle except u kn ow to do so, nokia has not lunchd its own version of the upgrade for E6. Finally, the mobile security that came with the phone is the best security for the phone, just activate it(wit d anti theft) and enjoy for free for 3months. Netquin is also good but trust me i av tried the 2 on E6.

My nokia N97 is restarting itself frequently and it is hanging when using the keybord. When the phone is OFF it still consumes power and drain the battery, plz somebody help me out

chai y wasn't I around wen dz topic was treated, nokia e6 is one of the best solid phones available in the market 2da, my phone hav fallen uncountable times but the one that made me so perplexed is wen it fell from a one story building and had only a dent on the upper right metal casing. i've never had an issue wid it except sometimes dat it suffers from incompatible apps cos am a heavy app user and phone tweaking, i make use of any symbian^3 patches and mod. As for the heating problem, i feel itz network instability problem, i do notice it wen am in a network starved region, it just means d place u ar hav poor network reception

pls is there anyone who wants to sell clean nokia e6 in ibadan, ife or osogbo should pls let me know,...........from what i have seen from my friend that bought the new one in 2011 and hes been using it now without no complain,,,,the fone is the ish....pls let me know and the price. thks
