I love my Natural Pounded Yam so much NOT the yam flower now sold in every eatery, restaurant and buka's all over.

Can someone please give me an idea of where I can buy a very good, reasonal price YAM POUNDER that can help me in grinding/pounding my natural yam. One that pounds and mashes very smoothly.

I will be most grateful. Tired of eating fufu over and over as it is either my Pounded yam or fufu, nothing else soothes me when it comes to swallows.

Pounding machines are still very much in sales. If you're interested, I'll give you the source. They even do home delivery in Lagos, Abuja and some other cities in Nigeria.

You don't need a yam pounder, get a food processor and use the large blade. The result is same as a mortar and pestle.

Cube the yams rather than slicing it. Boil it preferably with the water covering the yam. Once cooked, leave the yams to stand in the water for about 10mins. Then put in your food processor, and switch on. Don't put too many in at a time otherwise the motor will have to work too hard and may get lumps in it, also you have to clean the processor properly after each batch. My processor is 1.6L and I can usually process enough for my hubby and I at a go.

Let me know how you get on cool
