There are at least 6 threads on Aviation/Piloting on this board, 2 of them on page 1.

Multiply by the 3 related threads at the top of each thread.

When you ask 'technical' questions on the pertinent threads, the people most likely to have the answers you need are notified by email and the response rate and quality are higher, compared to when you open a new thread.

The people with the answers you need dont necessarily visit Nairaland daily, or the Career Section for that matter.

Help us to help you.

Bros, I am not a helicopter pilot but training on fixed wings currently in south africa. 3 million will definitely not get you anywhere with helicopter training. About 8 million will finished fixed wings and its abt 3 times that for the helicopter training. I know Bristow does a training program. You can find out with them.

Wish you all the best.

I'm a current helicopter PPL student in south Africa and my school is one of the cheapest around...it will cost approx 710k rands which approx about 15million naira plus to complete the whole training including accommodation.... You also have to know that you might spend more than this amount if don't give the training your 80%.

My best Advise is for you to pursue your PPL first and keep looking for sponsorship and also don't forget the most important thing to do is back it up with prayer, you might be the Next person Bristow or Calverton is looking to sponsor.

Thank You and God Bless.
